New repaint of HFTD Recon Ironhide revealed. I hope everyone likes... blue? Check it out HERE!

 

Aww I thought it was the Deluxe  

 

That actually looks better than I was expecting. Blue isn't a choice I would've gone with, but they've done a decent job making it work.

I think I like it more than the previous deco.

 

That actually looks pretty damn decent. I just hope the tires aren't that light in person.

 

I never picked up Recon Ironhide and I really, really must own that.

Heh, I wonder if they'll call him "Offroad Recon Ironhide."

 

I dig that. I skipped the first retool, but I might have to pick this one up.

Nice use off Allspark blue, nice mould, nice colour scheme. Sold.

 

The pukey colour of the wheels, and the allspark blue on the weapons. Those are the main things holding this back.

We're never going to get a red movie Ironhide, are we? A few years from now, when the current movie franchise ends and Hasbro moves on to something different, we'll have a nice legion of Ironhide repaints - in every color under the sun except the one that every G1 fan is waiting for.

 

Agreed.. if had been Deluxe and Red it would be a buy.. here is a pass..

 

There was an Activators Ironhide in red. But if you're like me, you don't consider those the same as the main line stuff.

 

Looks funny that the rear door panels aren't mud-sprayed.

The "Allspark Blue", I find, is pretty appropriate in this case. Looks like power gauges, or otherwise energized chambers.

 

I'm sold - this looks a lot better than the blue repaint of TF1 Ironhide, and we didn't get the Recon remould.

 

What's wrong with teh light blue? It adds a nice "fully charged" look to his weapons.

And that "pukey" colour is what tires look like when they get muddy and grassy.

 

Hasbro said they wanted to do Ironhide in red, so maybe the Deluxe will get those colors.

Doh. I was thinking Classics Ironhide for some reason, then when I saw "blue" I was thinking SG Soundwave. Oh well.

 

Much like everyone else is saying, if the new Deluxe Ratchet repaint is called Rescue Ratchet, this will likely be Offroad Ironhide..
