The plastic on the wings (at least) seems to be different than the other versions of this mold I have. It's softer, like a hard vinyl, though I could be wrong. Maybe it's just the matte finish, but it definitely seems like a softer polymer, and not brittle in the least. The finish is great. Like some of the later uses of the mold, including the Walmart Skywarp, pieces didn't seem to fit as well as previous versions. Not so here. Mine is great and fits together terrifically. I think they have made a good effort to prevent breakage issues, but only time will tell, I suppose. I don't feel worried about transforming this one at all. That said, this is my 4th of this mold, and I've never had so much as a stress mark on any of them. i'll take some better photos later when I experiment with the lighting.
Purdy indeed, so how the does the clear plastic feel? Is it better than the stuff we've gotten before, or does it still feel like it might crack after too much use.
I'm not sure if you own any of the other MP Starscreams but is this your favorite? I'm thinking of dumping green scream for this one.
(I did kinda say above that I own 3 others..) But yeah, I have Greenscream, Hasbro G1 colors, and Walmart Skywarp. Maybe I'm crazy, but this seems to be the most durable out of all of them. Like I said, only time will tell.
Yes really!! Man can't get excited to ask someone a question????? Cool, I might have to sell green scream for this.
That is awesome! Transparent aluminum? Never heard of it other than Star Trek The Voyage Home. I'm definitely going to get one of these figures! I like how even his decorations is transparent.
I've listened to the podcast for a long time. Thanks! Especially with the Coronation set for this coming up... I want this! I doubt I ever will though...
Damn it, I really didn't want this, but you say that the issues of the wings breaking may of been solved with a different plastic.. gr..
the problem i always had with the mold was the tiny back fins, theyre on this tiny little thin plastic post that always breaks, should have always been a metal pin.
