Ouch! Stalker got the Bone. The art isn't my favorite style, but you gotta love the gratuitous robot violence.

PS: Why is this under Non-Transformers??

It's a shame that, being filled with less familiar and downright obscure characters (especially to American fans), this comic series evidently isn't selling that well compared to the ongoing*, because it is probably the best series IDW has ever done with Transformers.

*I think Diamond's figures put Wreckers as moving half as many copies as the ongoing, and about 3/4s as many as the Bumblebee series.

Hope my store has this tomarrow. LSoW is easily the best TF comic by IDW ever and as good a one as we've had in a long while before that as well.

I never been soo scared to turn a page in my life. Look at what they did to Twin Twist. and at least Springer breaks free and turns Stalker into a Cybertronian skewer. Cant wait to buy this comic tomorrow!

Didn't like the first one, thought it was too 'jokey', but realise now that was to build up a good group atmosphere before everything went tits up (bit like in Predator), and each issue is getting better and better. Can't wait for the conclusion!!!

I'll probably pick up the paperback when it comes out.
    This series sounds just awesome.

Is it me or would Energon Landmine can be remolded as Imapctor and Energon Mirage repainted as Overlord?

Cybertron Defense Red Alert is the only suitable mold for Impactor :D

Energon Mirage sucks. There's no suitable modern toy that can be redecoed or retooled into Overlord.

wow, this issue had me shaking. perhaps the best issue so far, and every character dripping with personality. wow. that's all I can say about that. Looking forward to the conclusion.

    Fun times!

Rocherts have pressed the pedal to the metal from the word go with this series, and they'll be damned if you can find the brakes!

Before I go any further, I have a request. Nay, a demand. An IDW TF profiles book must happen, and I am insistent that all entries be written by Rocherts. How awesome was that character profile of Ironfist?

Anyway, I think we can all safely say now that Last Stand is the best TF miniseries IDW has produced to date.

Rocherts again knocks this sucker out of the park, writing a tale that pretty much has everything you'd ever want out of a TF comic in it (ala issues #1, #2 and #3). It displays a nice balance between intense storytelling and character building. Sprinkle in a dash of witty sarcasm, tongue-in-cheek humor, mystery, and intrigue and well, what's there not to love, really?

Ironfist is quickly becoming one of my favorite TF characters....and he didn't exist to me three months ago! That speaks volumes about the writers. They have done a masterful job of balancing character development and weaving it into a highly intense storyline where it doesn't even seem like there's a moment to breath.

The artwork was somewhat improved upon over the last few issues, though still a bit cluttered at times. But you know what? I'll take it. Give me a story this good, and I'd care less if Manny Galan made a return....maybe.

The only weak bit in this story was the whole "to turn on this mega-computer, you must kill yourself" bit. Very contrived and illogical, given it's a computer designed to mete out justice.

One of favorite moments in TF comic history is when Snare is trying to explain why he'd rather be put out of his mercy, but before he can complete his sentence, Impactor just says "Okay" and crushes his spark.

    God, I loved that.

Give it an "A". Absolutely solid stuff.

how about perceptor's urge to kill the prisoners in one shot? i thought that was pretty dark... but then again, what isn't in this book? =)

I think taking out Overlord would stop the prisoners.
