Texas?! Sweet, I wonder where? I'd go as far out as Houston, anywhere else is too much.

"I think such an abnormally short shooting schedule tells us that there's going to be significantly more CG-only environments. "

wow so Bay realized that this is a "TRANSFORMERS" movie.. not a treasure hunt in Egypt movie... it actually blows my mind how little we saw the transformers in a transformers movie for the second movie

I wonder which part of Florida they will be filming? It will not surprise me if it is somewhere in South Florida.

Wow, only 60 days. Sounds like the humans won't have as big a role this time out. :D

I really think this may be a little premature in saying that the humans won't have much of a role or that the many locations will be CGI heavy. Michael Bay TYPICALLY likes to shoot locations and add CGI over it. He hates full CGI environments. Plus romantic comedies shoot in much less time and are human heavy. He did say that the robot count and explosion count would be toned down in this one, meaning that we could be in for more story telling with the humans and robots than big action sequences, etc.

I must be an extra in this film. I had a chance to work a couple days on TF2 in PA and my wife absolutely refused to let me do it. And my cries of "But it's TRANSFORMERS!" were to no avail.

I did a lot of extras work in 2009 and was trying to find better, more steady work because I don't like the long hours and poor treatment on sets. But if I could book even a day on TF3 I'd do it, even if the drive cost me more than I earned working as an extra.

Bay would save quite a bit of money if he tries to recruit from the fandom:thumb

Awww, I wish Transformers 3 would have some filming done in the UK. Although, knowing Bay and his penchant for stereotyping, there'd probably be loads of cockneys running round going "Bloody 'ell! Its one o' them ruddy great robots, innit! Best leg it up them apples an pears!"

Actually, I'd proably like that. Come for the generous filming tax breaks, Mr Bay, stay for the crumpets!

more on-set shooting time probably just meant that there were a lot more scenes that needed to be done which were BAYSOPLSIONS with lots of set ups. since Mike himself said it will be less BAYSPLOSIONS they dont need a lot of set up time between shots, hence, cuts down about 20 days of shooting time.

i have very very high hopes for this one. you guys should too

and what does Mike have against Canada? he never shoots here :(

Um, the Transformers were also in Egypt, in the Treasure hunt. Sam and Simmons weren't riding camels.... you know.
