well looks like the first pics we saw dont have the con symbol on the cannon, the final one here does.

also i dont like the box so much, its nice but it would have been if they used the cartoon image like hasbro. i hate pics of the toy on the front.

Has Takara been referring to the enemy faction as "Decepticons" for awhile now? I'm feeling out of the loop, as I was surprised not to see "Destron" on the package.

The robot pic does look cheesy. But I love the faction color and big ass symbol. Just wish they used cartoon art instead :/

At first blush I kinda liked the box, but comparing it with the Hasbro version reminds me how well Hasbro nailed the packaging for Animated.

When 『潜入諜報兵』 translates it literally, I become infiltration information gathering soldier. He seems to be a soldier in charge of infiltration and information gathering.

That's my complaint, too. It would have been a lot better to use the cartoon art for the packaging instead of just slapping a picture of the toy in robot mode. But hey, as long as the toys are awesome, I could care less about the packaging.

is there a lot of English on that packaging in comparison to other Takara TF's? Seems like it to me, but I might be wrong!

Nice, I like Hasbro's packaging better though, and I also think there is a lot more English on the box then normal. Interesting.

I think if I had seen this on the US shelves, I would have gotten giddy. I love the color and the logo. Yeah, the Animated artwork would have been nice, but I'm a sucker for big purple Decepticon, or red Autobot packages. Just something about that deco makes my head spload.

Love the colors, especially the bright purples.

Nevertheless, still a bigger fan of the cartoonish Hasbro packaging. :D

well I like the packaging and i want to see the autobot version. as for the extra english it could be Takara is realizing how many of these may be potentially exported to english speaking countries so they added more to it for those customers.

I like it - but I DONT like it... it's a Japanese box, right? Where the hell is all the Japanese on it?? I can read every word on that box - it feels like something I'd see on the shelf at TRU or Wally-World (Wal*Mart). I like the old Japanese G1 boxes - I can read the figures name and what it turns into - nothing more. Its the enigma of the babel that makes me dig foreign packages. This looks like something Hasbro already had planned, didnt use, and gave to TakaTomy like "Hey you want this layout? We think its sub-par to our own."

I like it. But then I've always preferred simplicity in package design rather then making them in weird shapes like Hasbro does.

In any case, like it or hate it, in the end it's still just a box.
