    preordered it today.

who cares about the magnet? Im sure they did their homework on the packaging specs as for the magnet to not affect the dvds, unless they want to lose tons of money on liabilities and claims

Looks so much better than Rhino's. I'll wait for the complete series though.

Definitely all over this... can't wait to finally see G1 again. It's been way too long.

    June 16th! (hopefully)

What's wrong with a magnet in a DVD case... I like it! :)

I wonder if they will have volumes like Rhino or will you have to buy the whole Seasons set.

I think we've already got confirmation that Season 1 will be sold by itself, and there will be a complete series box edition as well. Kinda sucks. I'd much prefer separate releases for each season.

Are you sure each season won't be sold by itself? Seems rather stupid to just release one season and then all of them in a box set.

Do you mean that seasons 2-4 will only be available in the box set?

With the talent i see evident in the sigs of Fellow TFW2K5 members, i am totally disappointed with the case art.
it is subpar, devoid of any effort and actually, looks pretty darn dated before release.
i know absolutely nothing about Photoshop or any desktop image software, but but i think that with help from a hardcore Naruto Nerd, I could do something better.

seems petty to say that. still, if the quality of the discs are better than Rhino- i own a couple VHS tapes from them- then i will still gladly buy the series set.
and hell, if the series set's art still sucks, i will get the neighborhood Naruto Nut to design new case art for me.

(no offense to Naruto fans, but day-um, those guys know more ways to tribute that show than MacGyver has uses for 409 and duct tape.)

I would like to buy this but I already have the Rhino version. I would like to complete the whole Rhino series, I'm only missing Season 3 Part 2 and thats like $100 on ebay. I'd like some advice, please.

This is what I've been wondering since day one of this news. Is it all seasons brought out one at a time, THEN complete box set? Or is it just the individual sets and that's it?

Hrm... this thread seems to be drifting back to the same topic as the last thread we got the other day. Perhaps these should be merged...

    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...ete-series-release-g1-transformers-dvd-3.html

This thread suggests that the series will be released as one box set. Here's the important quote:

"Foos said Shout! Factory would follow the release with special complete-series sets of "The Transformers" and "G.I. Joe" later this summer. In the case of "G.I. Joe," Rhino lost the rights before completing its release slate, which means many of the episodes will finally be released for the first time."

The release that is being followed is the Season 1 set. And, when they say "complete-series sets" that are most likely referring to each show's sets, not individual season sets.

This suggests a season 1 set and then a complete series set. I wish it weren't true but it appears to be that way. I'd much prefer individual season sets that are all the same style and packaging etc. If this is what they are doing, then it's unlikely they would also release individual season sets at the same time.
