Not really. I'm piecing one together now and it shouldn't cost near that much when I'm done - and piecing something together usually costs more.

So far I've spent this much -

Body = 40 (included helmet and ramps)
    Shield/tower = 20
    HQ Repro headmaster = 10
    Gun/gun cover = 15
    4 double cannons = 40

I'll probably stop there as I don't really care about the other bits, except for maybe the leg covers - but those can be mighty expensive.

Thanks for all the inputs guys. So basically it seems that I am paying more to save the trouble of piecing.

not really, if you notice, MMM said repro/ko headmaster, which saved him $40 right there, scorp is worth a bit more than that normally, and is regularly sold for more as well

I got mine complete and in great condition MIB for around £100 including postage, but then I think i got a really good deal. That works out at around $150 so whatever the conditon, and considering mine to be a bargain, $240 is still too much to pay IMO.

If it's boxed, complete and absolutely dead mint I'd say it's a fairly good deal.
