24 Hours of Le Mans is over This is probably the least likely thing to come up on this forum. But am I the only one here who follows Le Mans? It's a 24 hour-long race. It's been going on since 1923. Many popular car companies race there. Audi, Chevrolet, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche etc... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24_Hours_of_Le_Mans
I watch it every year(till SPEED puts on NASCAR Practice..........). Those Peugeots looks beastly this year even with there flip in practice. Hoping the Vettes dont have as bad of a year to.
I'm actually torn between the Corvettes and the Astons. I'm a Ron Fellows (#63 Corvette) fan, and got to meet him twice already. But the Astons have the awesome Gulf color scheme... Dang. We need more than one race channel. At least I have Radio Le Mans for coverage.
The Astons are using the Gulf colors? man i gotta see these *heads off to google* How come there using those colors? always thoguht they used the British racing green, but i am pretty out of the loop these days.
Hey, it's on my avatar, but bigger the better! Aston Martin's also supplying the engine for Charouz Lola LMP1. Prototypes are all returning to closed cockpit now. Which is awesome.
The Closed Cockpit is back, because by I think it was 2010 they have to be. And the Gulf Colors would be great if the team running the Ford GT in the American Le Mans would send it over and use it there, over a Aston, which is now ProDrive Owned and not Ford.
Unfortunately, the Doran Ford GTR isn't very competitive. And they'd have to be competing in "lowly" GT2 category. They'd make a challenging rivals for Spykers, though.
I just could not stay awake for the last half hour. Audi won though which is what I hoped would happen.
I'm really torn, I'm a diesel fanatic, but Audi and Peugot are given incredibly unfair advantages by ACO.
Glad to see Aston beat the Vettes again. I hate Speed's coverage. I'm sorry the biggest race in the world should not be interupred for nascar practice. Give me a break. Speed was a million times better when it was Speedvision.
I just got back from Le Mans. What an amazing race! The atmosphere at the circuit and camp site never fails to impress. I'll be off again next year. Who knows, I may even take a decent camera!
