Number five back then, also a gift from my friend, was Cutthroat. He was a bit loose but in much better shape than Blot.

Unlike Blot, there are a bunch of robotic birdlike creatures out there to choose from. I settled for Transmetal Terrorsaur, who both has the benefit of not being a recognizable show character, and also has many similar design features, like the head folding into the chest. The huge arms weren't optimal but they had to do.

For colors, I try to be as toy accurate as possible. This presented a problem with the legs: in bird mode Cutthroat's legs are completely yellow, but on this figure that would look weird, especially since his arms already provide more yellow. So I went for bot mode consistency there. I then added some metal sections for the extra stuff not really found on the original figure. The rocket pack section is painted metal inside but I don't intend to pose it in that mode anyway.

Like Blot, Cutthroat was easy to paint with very few rubbing spots. I had a bit of a problem with the top of the beak, so I had to mask it with a lighter coat of metal instead. The movie designs have generally inspired me to paint sections that aren't part of armor or exterior alt modes in metallic colors.

With Smokescreen, Quickmix, Hot Spot, Blot and Cutthroat finished I'm turning towards the next batch, which will take a bit longer since I'm having a busy few weeks ahead. I'm also going to patch these last three up with stickers. Unfortunately I seem to have misplaced my reprolabel Autobot set :/

Sweetness. It dont matter the mold, but the colors tell who it is. And thats good enough for me. Great job.
