When was the last time we all could agree, when Happy Meal Transformers were good?
Fast food tie-ins are the linchpin of this franchise.
Just a guess, all things i have seen point to it being run of the mill, real 3-5 year old dribble.
I will be happy if im wrong. Just preparing myself incase i start thinking it might be decent.
McDonald's NURiD has had some great figures. Notably Underbite and Fracture.
Wasn't there some bullshit about some bitchy health food group who wanted to do away with happy meals and toys?
I can’t really say I’m gunna go out of my way to the double arches for a shot at a figure I’d want from a kids’ meal based on some low res and grainy promotional photography—
But, Grimsy, Windchan, Megs and Shockers seem nice, so that gives me even odds if a higher resolution advertisement has me convinced.
Now, maybe @NemiMonkey, there are MLP and Cyberverse Games in the works!
And, at the moment @Autobot Burnout, Evergreen constitutes a few comics’ redesigns for a few characters and some simple toys to compete with KO toy producers in Southeast Asia called “Authentics,” going off the TFWiki page.
So far, I feel “Evergreen” is mostly an importing and then proudly, perhaps pyrrhicly, exhuming of some sad language that the execs at corporate picked up from a visit to Mobile App Island, or some such.
Personally, I’d just go with “Perennials,” but I’m a silly Dinobutt.
To wit, the “Authentics” remind that I don’t think I’ve actually read The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Production because it’s been quoted at me so many times by friends and favored authors, but it’s a still a “funny” thing for Hasbro to display. Though, it’s not as mind numbing as Sunrise or whatever naming the next Gundam series Narrative
Then again, all that’s the case until the Cyberverse franchise is released upon us. And, I agree with @TyrantLizardKing on staying preemptive judgement, but I do understand where you’re coming from @Cha Chi.
Outside the Machinima shows and reading the whole of IDW Phase 2 in the past couple months, the last show I watched was Animated, after I’d skipped Energon and Cybertron. Though, I have thought of giving Prime a shot for John Noble and NuRID for all its beasties.
Still, I do love Windblade, Grimlock and Slipstream, so Boulder Media already has my curious to see how they’ll animate some of my favorite designs.
But, if they really wanted me to fight up stream, then BM and Hasboner needs to send in the Combaticons under the command of Slipstream and I probably could forgive a lot.
Finally, I’m gunna say the Beast Wars, @Philip164.
There was a weird DotM bobblehead or something but that was at Burger King.
Its sad. BK used to have some awesome stuff! I had some great Kids Club and Disney memorabilia as a kid.
Ya\'ll be trippin if you\'re hating on Chibi Megatron in a Happy Meal.
My dude, this is what I live for. Unfortuently its not in the UK
It is a pity that not in the KFC (fast food)...
That doesn't mean the Evergreen designs aren't what's being used in Cyberverse. We know so little about it other than the fact it has Bumblebee and Windblade (ugh) in it that we don't know if they'll just co-opt the evergreen designs for other characters.
That\'s an adorable little Shockwave.
I sure hope to see them in Argentina soon! They are too cute and very G1-ish! Except for Windy who is an IDw character.
Oh look, it’s Starbitch shitmer!
No Maud Pie?
I really like Mini Windblade, Megs and Shocky.
Yeah, where are all the good ponies?
Has to be said: where are the TRANSFORMERS?
Every time they do this, I die a little inside. I get that Hasbro is deluded to the point that they think robot Bumblebee and car Bumblebee can be TWO separate things...
But for me, average-Joe-consumer, a TRANSFORMER is something that can actually convert. I would not invest a dime into this franchise if it was all about static robots and cars. For that, there are better franchises, imo.
You'll find more ponies in the Cutie Mark Crew blind packs. They come in capsules that double as little stackable rooms.
They're already out here in the Philippines, but I haven't heard about their release status in other countries.
Sorry. Hasbro doesn't believe in widespread variety and unique pony toys anymore. That's why they shove these six down consumers throats every 5 seconds. Hope they never pull this shit with transformers and return to their old business practices with mlp.
