Has anyone noticed how bad 2012 has been for the TFCC already?

    - The Botcon set doesn't seem to be very much liked (I only personally like 3 of those figures so far)
    - This whole Credit card scandal happened
    - Drift's release has been full of QC issues (the hands and guns)
    - lots of people declaring that they won't renew for another year

And to think...it's only just the start of March....wonder what else can go wrong? lol

They really do seem to be in te shitter right now, wonder if FP will still be around or in control of the transformers fan club come this time next year.

If they pull out a bitching free fig and exclusive next year it'll be forgive and forget but looking at botcon set this year they seems to be low on steam.

Maybe the 2012 prophecy was actually in regards to FunPub? lol

Having received Runabout today, I personally can't wait for Runamuck and the Botcon figures... He looks so much better in person than online. He's up there with the rest of my favorites.

I'm not even a member of the Club, but have a friend who is and I ordered Over-Run with him - we had numerous issues ordering the figures and then when they were delivered they gave us a Drift instead of second Over-Run which has left me out of pocket and with a toy I don't want.

I had considered joining to get Runamuck but given the disaster it is and no effective way to get money to FunPub due to being an international citizen, I am going to put my money towards third party figures. At least I have a higher chance of receiving the things I asked for.

I was tempted to join because it seemed like joining would be less of a pain and a hassle than customizing two figures. With all the problems though I'm kind of glad I procrastinated and didn't get around to it.

I think it has been very disappointing. This was first year being a member because i was going to botcon for the first time and now its a tainted experience.

The CC incident is not even the biggest thing that concerns me, its all the smaller stuff. So, I had to change my card, big deal. No money was taken and in over 15 years of credit card fraud being big and easy to do, this was a first. It was bound to happen. Just a few months before being a member, i had my email hacked.

    1. the problem was how they handled it; if Sony could get hit, they shouldve learned from it and instead did worse than Sony at fixing this. 2. Becoming a member, I thought this would be the ultimate club to get insider info on TF stuff, man was I wrong. They dont update their news, no one goes on their forums and their site was really 90's.

As I said, I became a member for botcon; since it wont be in TX again for another 10 years, I dont really see a reason to renew. The money seems better spent on 3rd party stuff at this point.

This^ This was gonna be the year I finally joined, but since these toys are hard to get unless you preorder right away or pay huge amounts of money later, I'll just save myself the stress and $$. Some Club. Sounds really fun IMO. What a joke.

I wanted to join but didn't my parents said no (keep in mind I'm 15). I'd seen some of the old toys g2 ramjet, sg cyclonus and nexus prime and wanted them (and still do) a free toy sounded good but I don't want wheeljack with minor differences and financial problems.

Yeah, things look pretty awful, and I'm glad I'm not them.

On the plus side, Over-Run looks to be one of the best club figures ever produced (my opinion, yes, but it's one that seems to have support from other fans, as well).

Yet, at the same time as I'm saying that, I'm torn, because I see what appears to me to be a HUGE missed opportunity here, to make an otherwise unofficial transformation official simply by drawing up new instructions and/or having the transformation represented by the following picture be the character design for Runabout in the club comic, thus making the new toy look even more like an actual update to the original Battlecharger:

Seriously, wouldn't it have been the coolest thing if Fun Pub had made this the official transformation for Runabout and Runamuck? No additional remolding required!

Over on the GIJoe side, they had to move the convention, after people had booked hotels & airline tickets. While hotel reservations are easily canceled, changing flights can result in fees.

Wow this keeps getting worse and worse for FunPub.

I've got to admit I do worrie the club is running out of ideas, this years botcon set seems rather lack luster but that could just be to me and my dislike of the SG concept.
