Meh, another "world ending" movie. I'm really getting tired of these. They lose their impact right around apocolypse movie number 56.

Wow, that looked pretty intense. Might be a pretty decent movie.

I agree. You know how people freaked out when they thought the world was gonna end in 2000, what with the whole Y2K scare? Never happened.

actually I remember being scared for the 2 end of the world ones in 2000-yes there were TWO-Mexican culture wise anyway.

then again I was 14 and stupid.

This movie.....meh, independence day was iconic to me only because of the awesome F18 win.

For another end of the world movie, it actually looks like it has potential as a decent movie. As for the theory behind the plot, there's a chance it could happen, there's a chance it might not, it's a whole bunch of what-ifs. If it does turn out to be the end of the world, or at least the end of the world as we currently know it, eh, there's really nothing we can do about it. However, if it isn't the end of the world, at least someone got rich off the idea of it. Tbh, after the past couple of years, some life threatening chaos sounds kinda fun :ev:

Edit: Hopefully this movie actually ends with the end of the world, and not have some way for modern technology to save the Earth, or humans somehow living on with no change somehow. It'd be nice to have an end of the world movie that really shows the absolute end of the world. Knowing came close, but still had an overall happy ending to it.

Meh. Visually impressive, but it's been done before, time and again.

Roland Emmerich must have a fetish for the end of the world, or something. It's almost like it's his version of Viagra. "Can't get a boner? Direct an end of the world movie! Guaranteed hard on! Get your's today!"

And as for 2012 itself, there's only one thing going to be of importance that day....yet another Christmas shopping day.

Seriously, all of this gloom and doom, and foretelling, etc...just a bunch of crap. We have a better chance of WW3 happening, than we do 2012 prophecies.

The world ending in 2012 for real has a better chance of happening than this.

Here is what I think happened:

Mayan 1: Man, carving this calendar sucks.
    Mayan 2: You said it.
Mayan 1: What year are we on anyways?
Mayan 2: Ummm, lets see.... 2012.
Mayan 1: And what year is it now?
    Mayan 2: It's year 4.
Mayan 1: To hell with this, lets go grab a beer.

And they never came back to finish the calendar.

    The end.

Whoot! This is going to be GREAT!

PERFECT for the MST3K riffing treatment!

Loved the "freeze cam" in Day after Tomorrow! Laughed my azz off for weeks afterwords! 10,000 BC was a riot too!

Looks like it's worth catching once for the big screen carnage. I didn't realize Cusack was in this, so that's a bonus.

*Not trying to get all political*Not that I believe the 2012 crap but I don't see WW3 as some impossible event that can't possibly happen in our life time. Lot's of chaos in the world today that could set the stage for it

    Trailer does look good though

Er....that was my point. WW3 will happen at some point. 2012 prophecies won't.
