A car thread not made by Ace Convoy? EGADS!!! :lol

YouTube - Dream Harmonic - Corolla + Miku: Big Dream

So suprisingly, this commercial hit the internet for the 2011 Toyota Corolla, and in it is something that means a LOT to me, a US debut of Vocaloid!

it hasn't been sighted on tv just yet, but i know i'll be grinnin from ear to ear when it does

i'm hopin this begins something amazing, and will bring those concerts over here

edit:someone fix the title please, it is Hatsune Miku

Boy, that first note of Miku's song is really irritating...

O.O YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!! It's about slippin time she crossed over the ocean.

Whoops someone gave her a rental

    another thing.

I really don't think they should've associate their most boring and uninspiring car with her.

The only three toyo's I could see her in are the Yaris,Matrix,or the Prius.
Maybe any of the scions... They super customizable and I could easily see a miku-sized xB or tC

Yeah, the Matrix seems like it'd have been a lot better suited for this add, especially given the great songs they've used with it in the past.

I've got nothin against the corrolla We rented the pre 2011 refresh a while back and my 6 ft 1 self didn't mind sitting in the back seat for 4 hours. It was quite sturdy and sound but not anything to write home about.

But the 2008-10 models have made it to my used car list in the next few years. With some suspension work you could have a nice little weekend corner hugger.

I just showed the vid to both my older sisters and one is scarred for life.

You know as far as being a Toyota Corolla, that's not a bad looking little car. Certainly more inspired than their current model.

Anyone think it would be fun to advertise the FT-86 with a Vocaloid?

Maybe the others but miku seems like the small little city cruiser type. Not backstreet drift racing

I'd like to know just WHY Toyota and Crypton are partnering up, although thank goodness they went with the original Miku design and not the Append (could the Append design even be shown on American comericals?:lol ), but why did they use the "World is Mine" song instead of her trademark "Miku Miku Shite Ageru"? It's not like most Americans would understand what she was saying anyway. The "big dreams" thing has me wondering as well.

Could this mean the English Miku engine program is going to see release sometime this year?

Look man I'm just glad Toyota are making a sports car again; I've been in a terrible funk since they stopped making the Celica and Supra. All they had were bland, boring and in some cases ugle city cars and small sedans.

I know you're just joking, but it was found that all but a very small fraction of cars(like a small handful) studied by toyota due to customer complaints involving unintended acceleration were due to driver error. In other words, people that jammed on the accelerator during an impending accident instead of the brake. All other instances, including the fatal accident that sparked the whole mess, involved floor mats that were too big for the car.(The original crash had floor mats from a Lexus RX350)

This commercial confuses me. While I love Miku and am excited that she's potentially going worldwide, WHAT was Toyota thinking when they put this together???
Also, that first note is REALLY irritating.

THIS is what I think of when I think Hatsune Miku and Cars.
