2011 Botcon Kreon apparently isn't "exclusive"

    Hopefully this is in the right place. At the 2011 Botcon, i was told, along with several other people i know, that the Kreon of Optimus Prime we received would be exclusive to the convention itself. Having his chest opened and displaying his Matrix of Leadership. That the actual retail version would have a closed chest. Every picture i saw supported this. Then i got my Kre-o Optimus in the mail today from Amazon. The box showed the Optimus figure with the closed chest, but a friend of mine, who also picked up a set at his local Toys R Us made mention that his Optimus Kreon had the open chest that was suppose to be exclusive to Botcon. I opened mine as soon as i got it and this is what i found...

    Yup...the one that seems to have at least come in two different retail boxes both have the open chest version. So much for an exclusive convention figure...

    Aww man, I hope we find a way to tell the difference by packaging codes. I want the correct closed chest version.

    As someone stated it went from "exclusive" to "rare packaging error" ... good luck finding stuff!

    Sure it could be a packaging error but that doesn't change the fact the Kre-o people at botcon told us the retail versions would have a closed chest optimus figure

    Seems to me that the BotCon organizers have nothing to do with this. This is all Kre-O's own doing.

    I don't think the basic sets come with the mini figures. The only Optimus Prime set that has these is the big one.
