    Amazon.

While the silver and white mix is a big difference for some people, they're both close enough in concept. However, the 2010 version completely lacks one of the most distinctive bits of his planet mode. The orange stripes down the side. The amazon version has these. For that reason alone, I'd never own the 2010 version.

2010 version has other bad deco issues, like the polar shell bits that are white/silver in the movie (and on the amazon version) being a dark color on the 2010 toy, and the planet's mouth not being entirely orange like it's supposed to be.

Basically, while 2010 version comes closer in robot mode, it completely fails at portraying the character in planet mode, while the amazon version gets it right. So I'd much rather get the Unicron that does both modes well.

If you have 2010 right next to 25th, you may like 2010. But for $200 I would go with the 25th. The 25th looks badass when not directly next to 2010, and it is only $60.

If money is no limit, 2010.

:p  If money is no limit, I'd just commission the best paint job on a unicron.

    Ebay:
fan of the amazon exclusive due the the semi translucent silver hand of doom, as opposed to the clear one on the 2010

Amazon. The Planet mode is way more accurate, and in most cases I think the Robot Mode is better. I prefer the face color and gray legs of the 2010 though. I think overall Amazon wins easily. As most folks will say, the price doesn't hurt either.

    Ebay:
    Amazon.

the sheer fact that it was affordable and that it is accurate to at least one iteration (i beleive its based on the comics appearance?) of Unicron speaks in its favor.

I like that head mold more than the 2010 or amazon! It just looks more angry. Great job!

I finally decided to pick up an amazon unicron after reading this thread. If I ave regrets, I'll go pick up the 2010 version

It's the same exact head mold just different paint applications.

neither is perfect, each trumps the other in various ways. but I'd have to vote for Amazon Unicron for being nearly 1/3 the price.

The 2010 and the Amazon heads are the same, new molds. The previous mold, the one in the pictured custom, is the original head.

If the '86 movie had never existed, I think I'd prefer the Amazon color scheme. But obviously the '86 movie does exist though, and the 2010 version is damn near perfect.
