That's the weakest WWF exclusive of the past few years...which I'm fine with because I would've definitely bought a really expensive Fallen with a cool new paintjob.

Japan has been getting screwed on ROTF "Exclusives." First the "Special Edition Voyager Optimus" which is the mass release minus a few paint apps. Then Dead End which is currently peg warming at my local Walmart. Now this which my local Target is having a tough time trying to get rid of even on clearance.

The orange is cast in clear plastic. It's different to Hasbro's version and actually looks a lot worse.

Its a shame really. The fallen should have been a way better toy. I mean the movie was named after him. Instead of being a leader they made him a voyager with horrible hands and no weapons. Then we get this burning fallen that does nothing to correct any of the issues and make it worthy of the exclusive title. The clear plastic is nice and all but not worth all the hype. Throw a staff and some real hands on this and its got a way better chance of being a winner, maybe.

Is that clear plastic I detect?

Either way, they got screwed on that one. And Target gets another sale. Possibly.

There's a "Winter Wonder" series? If someone is releasing seasonal Transformers they should've waited until the Summer Solstice for this one.

I don't know a thing about making toys, but I'm guessing it's way cheaper to update, or just slightly tweak, an existing mold than to create a new one? I really like The Fallen figure, but I'm good with the original that represents the way he was presented to us in the movie. Pass on Target's Halloween version and this Winter Wonderland version.

    well not exactly.
First they don't have Target in Japan.
Second the price for Target version (import) is around 50 US for them. (Cheapest 44US, most expensive 70US)
Third is that the Japanese just love clear parts.

Now Wonder Fest version is asking for 55US and I think it is pretty "reasonable" for them... only if they have the money. Not to mention there will be other better looking custom build/kits Transformers or not related products at WonFest. :D

So I guess for the fans they will just grab what they have there instead.

I know, my implication was that they're 'exclusive' was nothing more than the Fallen sitting on Target shelves pretty much. Apologies for not being clear.
