Not to sound like a nag, but... shouldn't there be a poll to make voting easier?

Some good choices here... this is going to take some considerable time to figure out whose comic to vote for.

Sorry, it's just when I first clicked in the thread, there wasn't a poll.  Glad there is one now.

Tough choice, but I ultimately made my vote.

In the end, i had to decide between Out Of The Dead Land and Mini-Bot's Comic Fluff.
These two comics really set the bar high.

But after all is said and done, i really have to give Mini-Bot kudos for the excellent outdoor shots, and ominous indoor shots.
    They are so very awesome.

This is one of my favourite categories, so I hope you’ll indulge my rambling.

Some tough choices here! Dreak uses some great angles, and his images are enviously sharp and crisp. Ectoneon gives us wonderfully rich, vibrant, saturated images, and I’m a sucker for colourful shots. Most outdoors work gets a bit washed out due to flash and inappropriate camera settings, but not Ectoneon’s. Coolhand makes his bots strike dramatic poses with ease, and many of his shots give the characters a sense of mass: these are huge, weighty machines. Some of Pol’s best work isn’t showcased here, but his use of angles to bring a scene alive is excellent.

In the end, I had to go with Time Shinki. Both Purdue and Minibot do amazing work of focusing in on the main characters and blurring the backgrounds, a trick which really makes the characters pop. I love MB’s outdoor shots and her moody indoor lighting (something Pol and Coolhand pull off nicely too), but Purdue gives us exceptionally crisp work that shows off the lighting (look at the phone booth). He has the best dramatic lighting skills I’ve seen. The images with Prime, half in shadow, are moody, dramatic, and very hard to pull of realistically.

I had to go with Mini-bot's comic fluff because of that gorgeous outdoor photography, which is a shame because this is the first I've seen it, I need to check out that whole strip now.

All of the entries are good, but in the end I voted for Mini-Bot's Comic Fluff. I just love her photography, especially in Season 4 of her comic.

This is a hard one, there's a lot of damn good work showcased there (except for that Coolhand guy, the idiot clearly doesn't know one end of a camera from the other).

I love outdoor shots, and I love effective low light shows, but I'm going with Dreack. His shots are always wonderfully blocked, very crisp and clear and the subtle but effective way he uses focus to draw attention to certain characters or effects is what finally tips things his way, for me anyhoo. I know it sounds obvious, but when it comes to photocomics, the basic quality of the photo is SO important, and Dreack is pushing that bar higher and higher, though a number of other creators are right on his heels.

I have to say that Transdudes has the best photography I've ever seen in this forum. I am always in awe of Draeck's photos. They are simply amazing.

I agree, this Dreack guy is a moron, must've gotten nominated by accident.

I didn't immediately vote because I really had a tough time choosing, was doubting between Coolhand's awesome composition and Purdue's awesome lighting... I really didn't want to choose but... damnit I had to choose. I really love Coolhand's work but I went with Time Shinki as the overall lighting in that comic really impresses me. This was a pretty tough nut to crack..

Thank you to whoever nominated my comic! ^o^

This was a really difficult decision, but I went with Coolhand for this one.

I, too, really like Mini-Bot's outdoor shots (I wish I could do more of them myself), but I went with Coolhand. He does some really great work with excellent depth of field.

BTW, thanks for whomever nominated me! :)
