the allspark power toys were all mainly transformers of vehicles that appeared in the movie.

    i liked that.

anyone else disappointed that he new nest battles figures have really random vehicle modes?
    (skystalker, mindwipe, dirge, SCATTERSHOT, etc)

I thought the Allspark battles were just Legends Class figures?

No, Don't Mindwipe and Skystalker combine? That equals awesome. And Dirge is awesome as well.

Isn't Brawn one of those NEST Hummer HX's? Or whatever they are called. I love that idea of his alt mode. Very similar to Landmine of the movie 1 line, how his alt mode was the prominent military vehicle of the respective movie. That's actually the main reason I'm getting Brawn.

I heard that they announced it at SDCC, that's why Mindwipe has pegs on the top.

Mindwipe is an Stealth 117 I believe and one appears in the first movie. It's kind like incinerator; making a toy out of a vehicle that appears in the movie. Sky stalker is a stealth bomber, which is just cool. Now I will say I'm a little disappointed that they do not depict the planes accurately. Mindwipe has that weird tailwing and Sky Stalker is a bit oblong. Brawn is pure wind as mentioned above because he's a N.E.S.T. vehicle.

Personally I like how they are going outside the box for the alt-modes, instead of sticking to things we've seen in the movies. I also like how they are bringing in some more non-G1 homages, like Lockdown. Supposedly they are also going to bring in Animated Bulkhead at some point. I can't remember which one, but it was hinted at in one of their answers to one of the Q&A sessions. It'll be interesting to see how his alt-mode compares to the others.

I'm a little bummed that we aren't getting characters based on other cars from the movie this time. That is, of course, entirely because I drive a Saturn Astra (the car that NotBlackout picked up and carried) and really, really wanted to get a transforming version.
