Who can predict what Botcon will do but let's all take wild guesses at to who the attendee freebie will be?

So far we think we know of three deluxe figures. The other figures are probably larger sizes.
    1) Gnaw
    2) Rapido
    3) Slicer/SG Wheeljack
    4) Unknown figure

    Gnaw
He's the freebie because: the club has already used the mold for sky-byte. Except for 2007 when the boxset repeated molds to complete the seekers the free has been a reused mold.
He's not the freebie because: he's a freaking army builder. Making him the freebie would be production-type ludicrious!!! Nerdrage go!!!

    Rapido
He's the freebie because: he's the other repeated mold
He's not the freebie because: there have been so many complaints already about the G2 theme and the character selection. If Rapido's the freebie, making him one of the hardest to get, there will be an uproar.

    Slicer/SG Wheeljack
He's the freebie because: there is no other deluxe figure that fits the bill
He's not the freebie because: as far as we know the only use of the mold. They wouldn't make a one-use mold the freebie would they?

    Other???

I say Rapido so there's, you know, an actual G2 figure in the set.

Rapido. The first guess is usually the right guess.

I guess Rapido, if only because A) they're already using that mold in the set and they often base the freebie off of one of the set molds and B) like it was noted above, it would give the set an actual G2 character.

Either way, if he's the freebie or a souvenir toy, I'm getting him. He's one of the exclusives I'm most excited for.

Picked other just cuz I'm hoping for the off chance of a G1 colored Breakdown.

2nd choice would be Rapido though :)

Gotta be Rapido. The attendee figure, traditionally, is from the box set, sometimes reusing the new head or with the old head of the mold. It would be a first for the attendee to have a new head when the other use for the toy that year did not, but in the end the expense is the same.

It's not Gnaw. Last year's Sweeps were a massive hit and they're cheap to produce since they're made in higher numbers, there's no reason to not do it again and Sharkticons are a perfect choice.

It's not SG Wheeljack for the reason stated above, it's the only use of the mold we have this year, and being SG (molded in Autobot symbol, cant be removed since it's not an easy part swap like a head is) it'll most likely be in a two-pack like the Games of Deception expansion last year, meaning we'll see a Voyager to go with him. Really hoping on Galvatron, the Evac mold hasn't been used for Botcon yet.

As for others... well, it could be one we haven't been before, but right now Rapido just fits the bill too well.

I say Rapido too, but I still don't see how you're going to say there's no actual G2 figures in this set.

Spark, Clench, and Rapido were all late-G1 releases from Europe repacked for G2, and renamed in the case of the first two. Clench was even the G1 name of the toy.

Streetstar was never released, and Breakdown was a Botcon release. It's like saying the Club Seacons were in the Universe 1 line, it's where they were designed but they weren't released, so they're not part of the line.

Sky-byte, Gnaw, SG Wheeljack/Slicer... no explanation needed.

I can see where the argument is and while I think the spirit of G2 is strong in the set, there really is nothing that is truly representative of G2, something found only in that line. Really hoping the two-pack we've seen nothing from yet ends up being a blue Universe Silverbolt with a red/purple camo Swindle from Universe Hound, or a Cyberjet from Cybertron Thundercracker (Missile arm, hello!)

Why is the freebie figure usually the hardest to find after the con? Rapido is actually the ONLY figure I want from this lot...I had him as a kid, I'd pretty much kick a puppy for him. :(

Surely everyone who goes to the con isn't in love with him?

They generally dont make extras of the freebie figure. You only get it by attending and picking up the box set in person, or attending as a dealer. They're never up for sale normally like the bagged sets.

^ Well, I was pretty much figuring on hitting up the secondary market, i.e. Junkion or EBay.
