well you will be saving for a long time because if you want that GMC Topkick it will set you back AT LEAST 70,000 and i'm not joking about that it is crazy.

The Camaro will be relatively cheaper and just such a slick ride  

If Transformers 2 comes out in summer 09' I hope to have the Camaro by then, *crosses fingers*

 

If the money situation is right, I will be getting one. Hopefully they offer a SS version, because that's what I want. A black coupe will look great in the driveway next to my black '00 Pontiac Trans Am WS.6. No way in hell would I own a yellow car...

I so can't wait to eat Mustangs on the roads...400 or so HP...Can't wait...

You're right, but how much more fun will it be with at least 80 more horses? It'll almost be unfair!

 

F-bodies already had 40 horses on the mustangs until the '05 stang came out. that's when ford finally broke the 300 hp barrier.

 

I would like to get the '09 Camaro, but I'm more interested in a hardtop Solstice. i think they're being released next year.

Which is sad considering the LS1 F-bodies (98-02) were making 305 stock which BTW was under-rated. My 98 Z28 made 312 to the rear wheels with just an intake.

 

mine made 300 with an air lid and K&N filter on a hot day, i never did get a number for a cold day, but given what i've done to it (which isn't much), i'm sure i'm pushing 330. wish i had the money to really push it.

 

Ive got an '04 GTO that Id love to be able to play around with. Its got the 350 hp LS1.

I had all the intentions of getting one of the new camaros since the concept debuted. I saw my goat and fell in love with it so the camaro will probably wait a year or two before I get it.

 

Longtubes, heads, and cam REALLY wake up the LS1. If I still had mine, that would have been the route I would have taken.

LT and a cam and ye olde LS1 is at 400 hp.... heads are gravy. like any application, just depends on how much you want out of it (and how much you can afford  ) right now i've got a lid, filter, exhaust, and hypertech power programmer. headers, cam and a stall are about all else i would do since it's more of a street car. my '79 on the other hand  

 

With those mods, I would guess more than 330 RWHP. More like 350HP. Whats the 79 have in it?

could be, haven't dynoed it. '79 has a 383, so around 425 hp. too bad i have much much work to do before it's ready. at least the movie inspired me, i'm thinking of painting it yellow with black stripes lol
