Phelps won another 2 golds! The 200m freestyle relay was also swam under 7 mins by the US team! Amazing!

    yeah, Phelps is amazing.

I watched the whole girls' gymnastics competition. I feel sorry for Alicia. They all tried so hard. I hope they can accept silver and move on. Looking forward to the all-around.

He did it. Phelps did it. 10 Gold medals in one Olympic.

He actually only has five so far this Olympics - he can potentially win 8 this year, which would be the single-games record.

With his wins tonight, he now has a total 11 golds, which is a new all-time record - a few others had a career total 9.

I was going to say this would be the greatest event ever, but they already have judo and taekwondo.:mad  I wanna see some one win a gold medal in Sheer Kicking Ass. What would the scoring system be? 2points for eye gouging and minus for a blow to the testies?

Well, cheating is an Olympic tradition. More to the point, it's only cheating if somebody actually strips of you of your medals. That's why the best countries do a good job to bribe officials and mask their multi-million dollar doping programs. Kudos to China and their fourth-grade gymnastics team for a getting with the program.

I think it means he's won the most ever Golds, but thats over different Olympic games.

Now he wants to break 8 in on games.

I wondered how he could be such a great swimmer, and the BBC gave me my answer yesterday... arm span is like 6'4, wider than a lot of people are tall...

Canada sucks at the olympics, not even one medal after 5 days... Even countries like Togo, Uzbeskistan have medals...

They also said on NBC during a race yesterday that his knees are double jointed?! Could explain why his dolphin kicks off the wall are so sick.

Speaking of joints, anyone else see the footage of the Hungarian weightlifter dislocating his right elbow during a lift yesterday? OUCH!

I had to laugh when I saw this.
Part of Olympic display altered in broadcast - Gadgets - MSNBC.com

anyways...those Chinese Gymnasts. I can beleive it. Gymnasts seem to be short to begin with, and these ARE Asian chicks. :)  On a related note, that's something I always wanted to know about female athletes. Are they all flat chested because being athletic tends to ****** boob growth, or is it that large boobs makes it so they all quit? Inquiring minds want to know.

Dude, it was a very good match! All the US needed was a draw and I was stunned when the ball came off the opposition's crossbar! So close, yet so far! IMO the beauty of soccer is that despite it being a "simple" game, the skills and players involved make it a very appealing game.

What he said, I wish is was as popular here as it is in Europe.
That being said, I don't enjoy watching it as much as playing it, and I think that's why it's not a poplular here.

I'm not getting a lot of coverage with the times I have to watch, but I'm having a blast watching what I can.
Swimming, cycling, sabers, shooting, kayaking, diving, basketball, water polo, volleyball, badminton, etc.. I can't wait till the track an field stuff really gets started.

Track and Field. That's what's missing. So far the Olympics have been great, but Track and Field is the elephant in the room.

The 100m should be fun to watch. There really is no favorite.
