Note you may notice an elastic band on the bottom of his chest. Basically, I wasn't too happy with the angle the "shoulderpads" sat at. They're spring loaded, and normally sit at a much sharper angle.

How is the arm movement at the shoulders? Seems like it's quite restricted due to the shoulder-pads...

No, the range of movement is excellent.

Actually, it's not restricted at all; he has shoulder, upper bicep, elbow and wrist articulation. The arms can swing out to the sides to past a full 90 degrees, and freely backwards and forwards.
He also has neck (left-right), hip, knee and mid Leg (just above the knee) articulation; no ankle articulation because of the (EXTREMELY COOL) Automorph gimmick.
Incidentally, his missle launchers do fire, when the 2 cannons are combined; rather than being spring loaded, they are the same type as you see on RID Prowl, where you push them out to make them fire. Each missile has its own trigger - the black bits on on one of the cannons.
Megatroptimus, I've been looking for days for some way to secure his shoulderpads in place in robot mode; have you found anything?

Ironhide by far looks like the best non-leader toy. Multiple points for originality in the way the hood splits and becomes shoulders.

Nice pics, Draven! Thanks for sharing. :)

This figure sounds awesome, and the more pics I see the more I like it. Still not happy about the face, though seeing the movie could change that.

I dunno, I thought that Blackout would definitely be my favorite movie toy (and design), but I think that Ironhide is at least tied at this point. I also like that he's big.

Aside from the Nightmare part of Blackout's transformation, is Ironhide's transformation more overall complicated?
