    Okay, trivia clear-up question Pete:

Is this the first exclusive sell-out -before- the convention that you guys have had since getting the lisence?

Yes, the Beast Wars set got close, but these obviously did very well, even with the increased production numbers.

It would have to be, since both the 2005 and 2006 boxed sets are still available on the Club store site.

have you guys ever sold out of a Joe set before a Con? If not, that would make this your most successful set ever, would it not?

Bad news for me, since I missed the pre-order date by a country mile, but oh well, there's always the aftermarket... Congrats on making a successful set!

Good for the con but bad for the people still debating over if they should shell out for the non-attending package or not. Oy, you know this is just going to make the whole thing uglier now with the mini war over the con set. Although it would be nice if Hasbro got the idea from all this that the Classics style is still wildly popular and repaints could still sell.

Oh well, time to break out the old paint as I know there is no way I can afford the after market price now.

With such a great set of figures as they put together this year and the attention to deal I can't really say I'm all that shocked they managed to sell out this year. The set even beats the coolest of the GI Joe exclusives they have for their con and sets a new standard for exclusives.

This is definitely :horse: , but wildly popular as an exclusive among hardcore TF collectors != wildly popular with Joe Q. Kid and his parents at retail.
