Doubtful. Sideshow's gift card program is a bit sneaky in that the cards are only eligible for specific items on their website marked with a GC symbol. These are usually overstocks or items that aren't selling through the roof (not necessarily crap, mind you). Optimus will probably not end up on that list. And if he does, it will probably be long after the card expired. :(

The other thing is they probably wont make a GC that would be big enough to make a dent on Prime. You best bet would maybe be to save up them reward points. Every twenty spent there equals one dollar.

I couldn't tell. They showed a shot but it ran by in 2 seconds, but I wasn't sure if it was a statue or which one it was.

I predict $800 - $900, given the complexity and the price of similar sized maquettes from Sideshow. This stuff does not come cheap.

I love the stuff Sideshow does so I know this will be killer! Also makes me wish I had a Blue Ray player. A bust, dvd and $50 towards one of their products is an awesome deal!

Love the Optimus Prime bust,:p  but getting tired of most items only with BluRay--remember there are still plenty of people who love Transformers that don't have blu ray.:rolleyes2

That maqutte is simply astonishing. And those complaining about the ROTF bluray and it's bonuses, just buy the Bluray and tuck it away until you get a player. As a matter of fact, Walmart is selling their Magnavox Bluray player for $98. Not bad for a profile 1.0 machine.

I've been waiting for this since the first movie. So anxious was I that I built it 3 times, out of Legos - each time larger and more accurate than the last. If I like the pose, and have the money, I will most certainly be buying this.

I've got a couple Sideshow pieces, so this is an instant sell for me. I wonder what the Sideshow Exclusive Edition will include...

I've been wondering when we'd see the first statues from the movie-verse. That Prime statue looks very nice. Hope it has a paint job that does justice to the statue. Pretty much a guaranteed purchase by me though! :D

I think this is fantastic news! I hope this has some articulation/poseability even if its limited. The pose they have Optimus in right now looks boring and not very dynamic or interesting IMO. They should have him in a better pose. The pose alone could turn me off buying this Maquette. Looking forward to the progress of this Maquette.

I think that statue looks AWESOME!!! I know I'm SOLD on that one!

I purchased their Leonidas "300" statue a few months ago which is the same scale. It only costs $285 new (regular Ed. was $275) and that was the limited Sideshow website exclusive. Juding by its apparent size, I expect it to be between $275 - $400 and you can expect a Sideshow varient that will be a few dollars more.

Is there a released date set?

Me thinks that a Leonidas statue is not nearly as complex as this one, therefore also not as expensive.

They do offer FLEXPay on some of their high end pieces. This could be as low as 700.00 or as high as 900.00+.

So it seems even Sideshow are moving to using Zbrush now (thats the software being used for this image)

I'll be interested in seeing the actual maquette and how much of this detail it retains.

Did they give a size for the final piece?

The images of Prime with multi colour pieces is how they're going to separate him to print the 3d parts (kinda like a jigsaw)

I do not envy the person who has to clean up those parts

    Articulation...no...

although you might findit consists of a couple of pieces which need to be slotted together, just so it fits in a box easier
