I saw the movie for the first time on the West Coast (USA) in Lynnwood, Washington at Cinema 12 near the Alderwood Mall. The kid who rides the rocket sled in "Transformers the Movie (1986)" uses profanity in one particular scene. He said, "Oh sh*t!" at some point in the film. My cousin and I laughed hysterically and looked at each other and said, "No f*ckin' way!!! Did dude just say what we thought we heard him say?" Yep. He sure did. We saw the movie again when it came out on VHS. Same thing. In the 21st Century, I had to go retro and rent the flick again, so as to watch it as an adult. The producers censored future versions. Does anyone in the world remember the original version that I'm referring to? If so, what was the scene?

    :)

Was the scene where Spike & Bumblebee try and blow up Unicron with bombs from one of the Moon-bases, think they're successful and when the dust clears - he's right there behind them and Spike's like "Oh Shit! what are we gonna do now?!"

I laugh hysterically everytime I see it to this day.

I think "Uh oh, looks like I'm going to need to clean my exosuit!" would have been even better.

This forum is just for discussion of things related to the upcoming live action film. I will relocate this to Transformers General Discussion, as it is a more appropriate venue for topics of this type.

I remember when I rented the movie as a kid noticing the word being cut from the film. I was glad when I was the re-release a few years ago had restored the original film and PG rating. I forgot to check the 20th aniversary edition but I know on the previous dvd the scene is even labeled as "curse word"

Seeing as this is a Transformers forum, shouldn't you be using a spacebridge?

Not to sound to much of a nerd... I thought about this back during the Armada days. Where 3 Mini-cons form a space bridge...

Wan't the original Spacebridge in the Marvel comics a Transformer?

Anyway, back on topic. It was metioned that the Sh*t word was used to make the Movie PG so that it would be shown at night so that it could reach more fans.

I was surprised to hear the word in 1986.

It just makes me think of how much more relaxed people were back then. When a single swear word was still okay in childrens movie. Glad I still have my old VHS copy.

I just got done watching "Little Monsters", rated PG-13. A LOT of unnecesary cussing. I don't normally have a problem with it, but from the standpoint of a writer you generally write the way you want your characters to sound, so theres a bit of perspective behind it. LM, however, had cussing sprinkled gratuitiously for no appearent reason.
One word to get the rating, eh, we'll live. We obviously did.

I don't think so, however it was indeed a suspension bridge.
