On topic, some extended car/chase scenes would be great, more of the military team in the desert, or some additional dialogue with Sam's parents or between Sam and Mikaela would be terrific. I doubt there's a ton of extra fully-rendered CG just sitting around, so I'm not expecting much of that. Or, perhaps the extra two minutes will be of Michael Bay jumping around in a giant pile of money?
Actually he does. It takes about one second, and is too "close-up"d to see it well, but Ironhide kills him on the way toward brawl.
according to alan dean foster and idw,prime fights and kills barricade together with bonecrusher.that's my hope for the extra footage--or at least something to establish his fate... also,i declare mikaela to be the worst human character in the franchise since the 80 or so kids in armada.megan fox comes off as more mechanical than the robots. (but there's already 97 "i hate megan fox"threads,so i won't turn this into one...)
No such scene occurs. The only time Ironhide ever made his way to Brawl was when he barrel-rolled. Barricade's death was explained in depth in the adaptation, where he met his end at the hands of Prime. Barricade never made it to mission city.
There is basically zero chance of the new footage containing robot mode transformers. In a movie like this you'd never waste a second of footage that expensive and leave it out of the main release.
Why? Why make up ridiculous statements? I think it was ams that made a good point. With all high cost of the CGI in the film, I can't imagine there is much that wasn't used. However, if an IMAX was close, I would go check it out regardless. Went and saw it for the third time on Monday in the regular theater....still good.
Whoever said I insulted other board members is wrong....I LOVE YOU GUYS! I am holding out for the extended edition WITH the robots. Yep, as someone pointed out...Megan Fox is one of the worst things I've seen on a cinema screen and she is more mechanical than the robots.
Oh yeh, the script. I told you, I can give you something better sitting on the toilet for a few hours doing it. It's FAR too easy. The Bayformers script was THAT bad.
Two minutes? maybe they could use them to repair some of the diting mistakes, like when Bumblebee gives the cube to sam who is sitting infront of him, and he is showed in the previous scene running. But whatever comes, I will definately watch it again.
It's probably a few second here and few seconds there. I saw Episode 2 AOTC in Imax and it had an extra scene at the end and everybody was talking about that. But it was just a longer close-up on Anakin's hand. So don't expect much, just go for the thrill of giant fighting robots crunching each other.
