Finally they have been given a name, and are Halo 1 remakes. I myself have left Halo 2, but I will get these for fun sometime, and I am sure it will make everyone happy that Xbox and Xbox 360 users can get them. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6168349.html The Image they give of each map looks pretty dam nice.
Well... it's cool they're Halo maps, I guess. I havn't played Halo 2 in well over a year though, but at least they're giving stuff to the faithful/addicted.
Not that I wanted to deprive anyone, but it's disappointing that they are releasing them for original Xbox. Unless MS and Xbox Live has grown a pair of balls in the last few months (judging by the continual cheating in Halo 2, I'd guess not), it will only be a matter of days before these news maps receive the mod/cheat treatment.
I agree, I mean all those updates really stopped the hackers in their tracks making it a fun and worthwhile experience every time you logged on. Game over.
Man guys don't be whiners. Hang 'em High was one of the most clamored for maps to be remade for Halo 2. I for one loved Hang 'em High and will enjoy playing this. Better late than never. Here's what you do if you meet cheaters online: leave the game and start a new one. I do hope hope however that Bungie makes the Halo 3 live experience better, with public customs and servers.
Wasn't this originally planned to be 4 maps? And I know when they announced it it the maps were only going to be available for the 360, so what happened to that?
It might not have stopped all of them but it sure as hell got rid of alot of them. I can count all the times i've run into a cheater on 1 hand and do consider it a fun and worthwhile experience everytime I login.
IIRC, it was supposed to be two maps only available for download on the 360. But this is awesome because my buddy has the old Xbox and now we can play on Tombstone, the new Hang 'eg High. I am still trying to get him to get a 360 though.
