I think I just blew my own mind. Isn't Megatron technically the first targetmaster??

 

I guess he is, but in terms of his toy, is there anyone from G1 that can actually hold him?

Using a later figure with an articulated hand would be cheating, so I guess his G1 toy can't really act as a Targetmaster then. Besides, none of the MPs would be able to handle him. Their hands aren't big enough.

 

I'm just speaking technically, not necessarily the toy. My MP Rodimus Offshoot can only be held by a certain scale TF. But as far as the TF verse goes he should be considered the first targetmaster.

Be it toy, show, comic, character I can remember some 25 years ago i held my megatron next to starscreams hand and under his plane like in the show. I wasn't sure a requirement for being a targetmaster was being able to be held, especially since he's the first one. He's one of the only TF's to turn into a gun, the rest (minus shockwave) have mainly been called targetmasters.

Metatron, Browning, Galvatron, and Shockwave are *not* Target Masters, since they aren't binary bonded to a larger Transformer. There's more to being a Target Master than just transforming into a gun.
