During the scene where the soldier was shooting at Sentinel in first person, was I one of the few people who found that amusing and a nice fit for 3D?

I enjoyed that scene too. Not only did it look good but it also let you see through the eyes of a soldier. It showed what they were going through which I though was a nice touch :)

Yea you could see that whenever OP is on the line of sight the soldier would stop firing then when SP moves in BLAM!

That shot actually broke the feel of the scene for me. It was too much of a videogame-ish shot to work. It was just "off". Didn't bother the hell out of me, it just didn't sit well.

I thought it was a terrible shot to be honest.

I thought it was neat, but I'm glad they only used it once. There are some unique shots in the movie that should just stay that way.

Personally, I thought it was silly and out of place.

Do not encourage Activision to find more ways to milk their shitty flagship franchise.

It was cool. Reminded me of that DOOM movie with The Rock.

That shot was ok, but it felt a little forced, and was put in just for 3D.
