    Hi guys.

I have some bad news regarding the primus hands.

I will no longer be trying to cast these parts.
After trying and trying to get the mould right so I can cast these parts right every time I have to admit defeat. Without having a injection moulding machine it is impossible to cast these in any sort of large quantity

    On the bright side

1)I have made a hand that is between primus and unicorn’s size.
It is still work in progress but looks like it will work very well and will be posting some photos soon.

2)I will be casting the Primus arms

3)I have been busy making some very nice new heads for Devastator and Menasor that I must say are of a very high standard.

I have just moved house so I am without internet at the mo so updates will be limited..

I will be starting a new thread as soon as i have some photos to start it with.
the ones below where my work in progress on the primus hands.

I am sorry about the Primus hands but I am aiming to have a very nice set of hands coming very sooooooon.

    Thanks for your support
    Dawgstar

Here is my latest WIP cast.

I will be making a cast of the whole Primus arm just after xmas.

I am still working on this and will update it soon.

    Let know what you think

no offence meant by the last photo just thought it looked good.lol

    Many thanks for looking

Dude if you can get me a cast of the whole Primus arm, a set of 2 for a reasonable price, you will be my hero.

Reasonable being less than what it would cost to get a Junker Primus. ;)

    Can't wait to see more.

Sadly with the prices of some of the other stuff, I can't for see this being cheap. At least not cheap enou to warrant this over just grabbing a Junker Primus.

Still, d you have any ideas on pricing at is point? Like, at least gimme a ball park. :)

The hand is quite hard to cast so will be looking around £15-£20 for the pair I think. I am looking at the prices of other parts on line I and to be honest its the time that cost not the product. I will be dropping prices of say the Dev heads because they are a 20 min job where this takes a few hours(lots of trimming needed) how much do the junkers go for? i will look at a different way to mould the hand because this is the 1st attempt a may find a easier way to do and drop the price right down.

I would say if trimming is the issue, offer the casts with the flash still attached.
Let the person buying the hands do the trimming and assembly if it will keep the cost low.

You have the chance to corner the market for these, as no one else is offering this service (for the full arm casts anyway)

agree... but had 2 complete Primus for 45 a piece and 30 for junker (meaning no KEY + missiles)

But since then I haven't been so lucky :(

but I have seen a 50 MIB once....

thanks im glade you like them.

I am working on a better mould if this does not work then your right, it will be done to buyer to trim. I just like to make sure the parts all fit nicely
together so are 100% happy with them.

I agree wholeheartedly. Besides, I suspect everyone who gets a set will be doing their own clean up of the cast anyway.

Is there any chance of leader/voyager/deluxe articulated hands? I'm always looking out for nice posable ones but they're not worth the price of a whole MG Gundam.

looking good. do the fingers rub against each other when moving (like they did on Primus)? if you could solve this issue without making us sand them down i can guarantee you this is a winner.

current stage the fingers rub the same. I am having a real hard time getting the mould right so I can cast perfect every time.maybe looking at making the fingers myself so they don't rub at all and getting the right mould.this is one of the hardest moulds so far but I will not give up yet.

not looking great at this time for selling but ha I have not given up yet.

every other part of his arms are perfect just having problems with the hands them self (fingers).

Good news working on unicrons legs as well and so far looking good.

will keep you all updated and will post more photos soon

wish me luck I need it

    Small update.

I have made a mould now of the fingers so that they do not rub as muh as they used to on Primus.

Filled in the runner part of the hand because this is no longer needed with the ball joint.

sarted to alter the arms so that i can make a mould of it with the ball joint fixing included in one piece so that no glue is needed.

all out of moulding gear at this stage so can't test mould till after xmas.:( (money needed)

will update soon with more photos and info.

thanks again for looking and your replys to this tread.
