Just got relisted. She says there is a reserve, but it is not showing in the auction.
N/M---She ended the listing, I'm guessing because the $1million Buy It Now was knocked off the auction with the first bid. There was also No Reserve set on the auction.
Too bad there is no way I could have won it by default with the high bid I had.
Relisted for the 3rd time. I think this auction is set up right.
lol I am going to bid! I want a part of this.
EDIT: Damn it said my bid was too low. crap. and she also added this "50% of the final sale price will support Elton John AIDS Foundation, Inc." That was my suggestion sorta!
no one shoudl pay 1 Million maybe 250,000 but nothing over that.
I think I would rather buy 3 Dodge Vipers for $250,000 or a house.
If it goes over $100,000 I'll eat my keyboard.
I want pics!
I want a video... or youtube it for everyone
Tell me she didnt Really attach the Orange plugs to Her Megatrons Permently?? Doesnt that kill the value of them??
Good luck to her.
the silliness continues...
I really not that impressed, epecially with the combiners. Looks like discoloration on Devastator.
I agree but, c'mon, you have to be impressed with the collection as a whole.
Part of me thinks she's sincere. She knows she won't get the BIN price, she's donating half of the proceeds to charity, and the collection speaks for itself - it's more than any of us (being realistic here) could ever hope to get. She even says she'd like someone to donate the collection to the Smithsonian or open their own museum.
However the other half of me wonders why she would set a BIN price so high if she knew she wasn't going to get it, how she intends to prove she will donate to charity, and why she wouldn't just sell them individually if she were really in that much debt. At least that way they would be guaranteed to sell.
It's a stupid auction but, at the same time, I'm in complete awe. Best of luck to her.
But you could build a house with all those boxes and have plenty of cars, they'd just be really small and undrivable...
Having eBayed I know the fundamental truth. Splitting the auction will get you so much more money.
I was thinking the same thing. You can do a tax write off for the portion going to charity, but it's only going to give you at most %5 back from that amount. Still, this might bring in people who had no interest in the auction or Transformers.
If she did, that's rape! :O
