No, I own both already. And it is most unlikely this will ever happen.

I would'nt,unless it had some kind of major exculsives with it.I mean I own the two of them now so it would be pointless just to buy them again for the sake of buying the collected package

Different studios or companies own the rights to each film too, so I don't know how they could be released together.

I think they should do toy figure packs, not the movies. 86 Bumblebee with 07 BumbleBee, Optimus Prime, and so on and so on. Then I would definitely buy those!

Since I already own both, I wouldn't have a need for it. It's not a bad though, it's just not for me.

No, just the two movies together doesn't really warrent purchase. I'd have to have a lot of extra's in order for me to be on board.

Already have Special Editions of both (well, 2007 Special Edition and 1996 "20th Anniversary"), with lots of extras on each.

But we would probably not be the target audience as much as "lapsed fans" who haven't gotten either yet. They might pay an extra $5 to get the remiscence factor of the original, or get it thrown in as a store-exclusive edition at the same price. They aren't as likely to pay $20 for the 20th Anniversay edition. Though it's probably too late now for more store-exclusive editions.

Now, if they had 1996 and 2007 movies, movie posters, and Primes and Megatrons (albeit with an orange barrel plug on the original), all in nice reclosable packaging (for MIB display after being opened), I'd be all over it.

Since I have no interest in the '86 movie, and I already have a great copy of the '07 movie, I'd have to go with a no on that one.

They had a Wal-Mart-exclusive "Optimus Prime: Leader for the Ages" 1984 / 2007 2-pack that compared a version that was somewhat reminiscent of the original with a simplified movie version. But both are way over-simplified and have cheesy "special features" the originals don't.

    For example:
To give Prime a toon-friendly chest, his cab juts over the grill significantly. And he has "power-punch action", whatever that means. Probably something like Armada Prime.
Movie Prime has a "launching power-hook projectile" that's basically a long clear light-blue missile with a hook on the end. That sticks out of his arm by several inches. And his entire truck front sticks over his head.

To put it another way, this over-simplified pack has G1 Prime look good in robot mode but lousy in truck mode. Movie Prime looks good in truck mode, but lousy in robot mode.

But it's also only $19.99 for both, maybe a good gift for some 6-year-old to introduce G1 Prime.

I'd buy it if BOTH films had extra footage, i.e. deleted/recovered scenes.

I'd love to see the 86 Movie done with added storyboard animation. I know, I know, dream on but that would be awesome.

I think if they ever packed anything G1 with the new movie they should put a few episodes of the cartoon (MTMTE arc maybe) just because the movie is not the best representation of the characters for new comers on the TF boat.

Sure woulddn't. That would be marketed towards the fans regardless. I can safely assume that most people ran to get the 07 movie have the 86. Those who got the 86 movie, probably have or will have the 07 movie.
