Anybody pick up the first book in this miniseries by Marvel this week? I think it has a pretty interesting concept, and I absolutely love the artwork in it. I don't want to say too much in case someone comes in here who hasn't read it yet but wants to. So...anyone?
Kind of a weird concept, but not too bad. I do prefer Kick Ass better Will be interesting to see the Hulk in the "real world"
(Millar + Edwards + concept)/'80s = win. Top panel, page 5 is a trip. I recognize so many of those right away, it's freaky.
I had no idea what it was, but I read it, and got intrigued by it. Might make for an interesting story.
Guy at the comic store told me about this. Sounds interesting, but I think I'll wait for the trade. Got a lot of minis on my pull list right now.
A story about a child in '85 who is into Marvel books and realizes that some of the character he reads about have actually come into his world.
There was an article on Mark Millar in Wizard 201. This seems to actually be part of a tie in that takes place in the mainstream continuity. Spoiler It's a build up to a new character that is Dr. Doom's mentor and master. The upcoming Wolverine arc set in the future, Fantastic Four and 1985 all tie together.
^ Interestin' I'm already picking up FF again due to the Millar/Hitch run. I probably would have picked Wolverine back up for the Millar run anyway, but this makes it more intriguing.
Millar's run on wolverine starts next week. Steve McNiven on art. The arc "introduces" a villian that will be "first" introduced in the next issue of FF. You get what he becomes before you learn who he is.
