Im thinking about preordering one of these dark variant versions of this galactus. I think it looks way better then the regular bright blue and purple version. I see it on preorder at bbts, but I prefer to pick it up myself at retail. I heard that it was also a previews exclusive? is that true? or will it be for sale at retail places like toysrus? Anyone know where or how it will be sold?

When I was at a local Toys R Us earlier in the week I saw Galactus w/ Silver Surfer. Don't recall if it was the dark variant though.

 

yes i did too today, but its not the dark one in my area. i dont even think the dark one is out yet. but the regular bright colored one is out now at toyrus. the bright colors make it look like a kids toy. i think the dark color makes it look more like a collectible item. also it comes with a variant clear see through silver surfer.

 

You'd think a Collectable Item would have the most comic accurate colors  .
Anyway there have been zero sightings on the MUA Variant so far. I just really want to see what the variant Silver Surfer looks like up close.

 

yeah, im going to wait to see if this is a mass release before buying it online. when i saw the reg version today. it looked pretty cool, but i didnt like the bright colors. the dark one i will buy if i can find it at retail.

 

I read that it would be available at TRU about a month or two after the brighter version, but I have no idea if the forum I read it on is reliable or not.

Entertainment Earth is selling it though; so that's a pretty good sign it'll be at TRU.

 

awsome, all I wanted was some hope to find it at a retail store so that I dont have to pay the high shipping costs. I will be on the look out for this one.

 

I was at my local TRU Express and found 2 there. I think it was $60 each. I'm headed back tomorrow to verify the price.

On a side note. They had tons of Animated Rodimus there. I picked up 2.

 

are you sure its the dark version with the clear silver surfer? I did see 2 at my toysrus, but it was the regular bright version with no clear see through silver surfer figure. it had the reg silver surfer. Please confirm if the price was 60.00. If so then bbts is even cheaper?

 

The dark version is scheduled to ship in December to comic shops. No word if TRU will have it.

Not sure about which version Waverider saw, but I've seen different prices at different TRU's in my area for the comic colored one that's currently out. You can find it for $50--just a heads up.

 

ok this sucks alot, if its for sale at comicshops, then the prices will be alot higher. looks like bbts just raise thier prices by a few bucks. it was 52.00 about 2 day ago.

 

I went back to the TRU Express and it is the regular color Galactus. It cost $54.99.

On another side note is that Animated Deluxe are buy 2 get the 3rd free. I picked up some Animated Rodimus for board members.

I see that the variant dark version 19" galactus is for sale at bbts for 54.99. its in stock now. so now im waiting for toyrus to get them in. any sighting for them yet?
price is good, but not with the high shipping costs from bbts.
