I just got a Devastator and was taking a look at the CrazyDevy stuff at Big Bad. I added up everything you can get for him from them and the total is $167 without shipping. THAT'S INSANE for the amount of plastic you get.

It sure is. That's why a lot of people dislike them; the parts may be neat but they're way too expensive.

That's just third party stuff. Not everybody can be a FansProject and make $10 Sidearms.

Whats even worse is that its only that insanely high because crazy-Devy has that BS policy of selling 1 upgrade piece at a time when they wind up releasing like 10 upgrades by the end :(

I agree it's a ridiculous price but not much can be done about it I suppose

I'm new to 3rd party stuff. I've had some Fansproject stuff in shopping carts like 5 times but I always close my browser before I buy them. I'm amazed at the $$$ that can be spent.

sure you can...vote with your dollars and support 3rd parties that do not make rediculously priced "upgrade kits" that screw you over $$$ wise once you are done.

if folks keep buying from them...one little piece at a time.

crazy devy will keep blue balling (screwing over) folks if they support that company and show that it is a profitable business model.

plus their whole upgrade for predaking that broke the damned toys of some fans was just too much ...that caused me to decide not to give them $$$ towards their upgrades.

At the same time, none of the other groups are on the CD crazy-train, either.

Well, Perfect Effect kinda got up there with their God Sword. That didn't seem worth the $60 they were asking. But at least that was more than one piece of plastic.

I havent purchased any of their stuff, but it does look pretty incredible. It would be nice if it was cheaper, but with the amount of stuff coming from 3rd parties, Takara, and Hasbro right now, you have to pick and choose. Im sure most people who have it would say that it is worth the price. I just can't budget the pieces and still get the other stuff I want. Seems like there is enough demand at the pricepoint, so they probably arnt too far off. Its just that we all want everything really cheap.

You are also buying these from a retailer rather than CD themselves...

I paid about $100 for everything for my Devastator. Totally worth it IMO.

CD Releases things random. But I'm good with it. If I want it, I buy it. If not, I pass.
No need to piss, moan, bitch or complain about it.

Haters hate because they want the parts they are crying about, but don't want to pay for them. Usually because "fansproject made this that and the other for $XX.XX so I feel I should only have to pay (insert ignorant lowball price here)"

The CD train can be an expensive ride. But the items are fully worth it. Love everything I have from them thus far, and cannot wait to see Predaking, Superion, Bruticus etc. completed. If they are anything like Devastator, I am more than happy to pay $15-$40 every couple months for parts.

Just use a little common sense. If a part doesn't seem like it fits, you are probably doing it wrong.

Actually the whole Predaking Wing extras really was someone doing it wrong....CD. Why else would they release "wing protectors" for Dive Bomb?

So the vintage parts don't get damaged..... There are many who believe the replacments were meant to be included with the wings.

I suppose I understand that since CD released the first ever pooly thought out toy, they should be lynched and forever shunned.... oh wait, everyone (including small companies ran by humans) makes mistakes. My Predaking looks amazing with his new wings and I couldn't be happier with the result.

I didn't need the replacments for mine..lol Then again I have the 2010 Predaking, and it doesn't have the gummy wings that the vintage set had.

    This!!

Third party upgrade kits shouldn't cost more than the figure they upgrade.

I really like the CD stuff but I can't afford it at this time. But I do like their products for Devastator make him look like a brand new figure. Maybe someday it will be affordable to all TF fans.
