    That's great!
It can't be overstated how TRANSFORMERS is such a big non-sequel hit. The lack of established recognition amongst non-fans (and the added stigma of 'toy property' to overcome too!) makes it's success all the more remarkable.

The profit's way over 2 million, the foreign box office is due to be updated anytime now with another week's worth of releases around the world. But this is an awesome sign for the franchise, we are looking at the next Spider-Man or Pirates of the Caribbean.

Yea however, when anaylists project Sundays B.O. they are usually never off the mark by much.

Call that 2 mil extra leverage, but no matter what it WILL be at 150 mil plus, by time the actuals come out tomorrow. It may lose 1 mil but it won't be under 150.

Yeah, but the $67M figure is a weekend projection, not an up-to-date total. Friday and Saturday together were "only" $47-48M, and there's no way it's made $20M in the first few Sunday showings.

I'll keep saying it though, anaylists are never off the mark significantly enough to rule out its 152 mil haul as of today.

According to the site I provide it made 19.2 today.

EDIT: Heck even Comingsoon.net will update with that figure today.

My guess is 180-190 by this Thursday. That's my hopes but more realistically I'll say, 170-175. This is domestic only of course.

EDIT: I bet my left arm though, that after the actuals come out, it will have made 66 this weekend. Like I said analysts are never off by much. That's why I trust Boxofficemojo.

You're right. What makes it amazing is that is not a sequel. For something to do this well out of the gate and with no prior recognition among non-fans speaks to its story telling and positive feedback. It is also doing better than sequels like Die Hard which, although older, has a built in following.
