I don't know about #13. I mean are we really going to applaud the guy for giving the star of the movie Multiplicity his start?

    Man that movie was awful.

But seriously, Fred Rogers was a great human being, and one that everyone can look up to.

Each of us is better for having known of Mr. Rogers, and we are each poorer for having now lost him. He was a very, very special person.

Mr. Rogers was incredible. When he passed in 2003, I remember reading that even thugs walked up to him and shake his hand. I also remember reading that presidents and heads of state deferred to him. St. Vincent College (in his hometown, Latrobe, PA) has a Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children's Media.

And we had "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" Days back in May 2008 - the month when he would have been 80 years old, and 2008 being Pittsburgh's 250th anniversary. Ground was broken for a small park on the North Shore near Heinz Field to honor Fred Rogers - the statue of Mr. Rogers is already complete.

His show should be re-run for as long as possible so a new generation of kids can learn from him.

I always had mad respect for him, even moreso after reading that article.

Y'know, as much bad as there is in the world, it is good to know someone like him could be that good.

I blame Mr. Rogers for my toy robot collecting habit. Him and that damn land of "make-believe" with all those awesome toys and play sets.

You are only as cool as the amount toys you possess.

Its so sad he died. Now the only people we have that "protect children" is people who complain about video games. Also, so weird to see him young.
