Was at TRU today, and talked to one of the women at the customer service desk.

According to her, there were 1496 boxes of Voyager FE Primes shipped out from the main warehouse on Jan 14th. My local TRU (kitchener) has yet to receive that shipment, i cant speak for other locations. It typically takes 1.5-2.5 weeks from the date of release at the central warehouse for arrival at respective stores.

so 1496 Bulkheads, and 4488 Primes.

That means that 1496 boxes would be split relatively evenly between all the TRU stores in Canada (no im not going on a google search to figure that number out).

On top of that, TRU 30% sale on all non Deluxe Transformers starts tomorrow (friday) - so you can bet those voyagers will be going fast.

The best approach to getting there first, from my understanding, is this. Do what you need to figure out what days of the week a truck is arriving at your local TRU. On that day, show up around 5:00, they've had enough time to unload the truck, but all the new stock is sitting in the warehouse. Last step - go and ask someone, nicely, if you can find a manager type (typically not wearing TRU shirts) to check the warehouse for the fig you are looking for.

Now that i know how to ask, ill continue to when i can so i can let everyone know if we canucks have a shipment inbound.

So start buttering up a Canadian RIGHT NOW.

I would help but i can't really afford to put up the cash right now. Im already sitting on some FE figs - which i will be offering up once i figure out how, exactly, i want to go about it. I may be able to swing another voyager or two, if i get the chance.

    happy hunting!

It's a quote from Raiders of the Lost Ark. I take it to mean they are buried somewhere in a warehouse never to be unearthed again, much as the Ark of the Covenant was in that film.

In short: it was a joke.

    Even I got that one.

Only 1496 boxes? Spread across the second largest country in the world? Good luck.

fair enough. read pretty sarcastic not knowing the reference.

The other thing is that a given store doesnt know what will be on a truck until the unload it. So there is a truck arriving tomorrow at my local store, and by all acounts (given the time that has passed since jan 14th) they should have Voyagers on that truck, it may not be till next week.

havent watched that film in 15 years ..../shrug

Large geographically, but Canada only has like 35 million people (maybe 40ish) - so we are like 10% of the population of the States.

I fully expect a horde of FE figures to show up at the usual US based "ah crap the big box stores didn't want it" retail chains.

    Marshall's etc etc

That's what I mean. Geograhpically. Like physically spread out.

I love how Americans think that we can just go out and immediately find these things because of that one picture. The closest TRU near me is miles away. And I'm not in the middle of buttfuck nowhere or anything, either. And even then the chances of it having them in stock is slim.

I agree, and have posted this several places... Strangely, people keep buying them on ebay for 3-4x retail.

I'll say it: I like the FE molds better, but I'm happy with the RiD molds for normal retail. If the FE's show up at Marshalls/Ross/TJX, I'll pick them up. If not, I'm not shelling out $40-$70 for 'em on ebay.

Side note: we already know the FE deluxe Starscream is going to be in a multipack, I wouldn't surprise me if the other molds sneak back out too.

I can't remember the last time a Toys R Us exclusive showed up at Marshall's or TJ Maxx. Or Target exclusives, for that matter. Wal-Mart exclusives tend to show up there a lot though.

Let's just hope (if you're right) it's Marshall's and TJ Maxx and not Ross, or that screws out half the country.

All the Joe retailer exclusives (including online only multi-packs) went to discount retailers last year. But beside that, this stuff wasn't "TRU exclusive" it's just that only TRU ordered it in the US.

I never want to hear any of yous damn canucks bitching about how tough it is to be a Transformers fan. We are running short on wars in these here parts, and your crybabyin' just might start another!!

By the way, if anyone can snag be some Prime FE's shipped for retail price, that'd be great :D

And I'm sure all of those Bulkheads will end up being sold for 60+ dollars on the aftermarket... :(
