Hey guys. I need some help. I am planning on making a Bonecrusher to be on scale with my Prime. The problem is, I can not find a model of the Buffalo mine vehicle. Does anyone have a clue where to find one, or to find just good military 1/25 scale models. I know I will have to scratch build a lot. But almost anything will help. I have the ground work, but now to the hard part. Oh yeah, he will be on fire too!!

Ok. I have started the skeleton. Please remember, this is still very rough. Gotta get the base done.

And YES!! The wheels on his feet do roll!!

Update 10-13-08: Yes, I know he is not perfect and there are things that we as artists do not like. But I am really diggin this guy!!! He is battle damaged.....for a reason.

Most military kits (tanks, trucks, jeeps) are standard 1:35 scale. Probably won't have much luck finding very many in 1:24 scale.

I have yet to spot a Buffalo kit online, in any hobby shop, or in any model publication.

As far as kits that might be suitable fodder for a Bonecrusher, perhaps consider a Dragon Wagon. Plenty of tires and quit a few comparable shapes that (once cut up into a million pieces) could double for the Buffalo. This kit is, of course, 1:35 scale. Still might be worth considering.

This kit will cost you at least $100. Honestly, if a kit of the Buffalo were released in the near future, My guess is the price might not be that high, but it will still be well over the price you paid for the truck model you used for Prime.

Isn't the movie line closer to 1:35 anyways? I mean I know that you're wanting to make a Bonecrusher to fit with your recent custom, but I think it would be cool to have a Bonecrusher that isn't smaller than voyager Ironhide too :lol

encline, all I gotta say is be sure to make two of these: one for you and one for me

Sure, but I think the original question was in regards to finding a kit close to the scale of his recent Prime custom, which is in the 1:24/25 scale range.

He'll probably have to go with a 1:35 scale kit unless a total scratchbuild is a possibility.

Yeah, I'm actually agreeing with ya here:

The only point I was trying to make is that if he is unable to find the kit and if he doesn't want to scratchbuild it, it would still be really awesome to have a Bonecrusher in scale with the mainline movie toys. I know I'd like to have one. :)

I think I may have made a mistake. My prime is almost in scale with the movie toys. Just a bit bigger (just a bit:) ) So I can make 1/35 work. I mean heck, when all is said and done, as long as there is some what of a Military vehicle look with bonecrusher, I will like it. I am glad the movie line has that kind of freedoms.
Man I wish that cougar was out. So, off to hobby lobby and hobby town U.S.A. to get some more ideas!

I'm confused. Allen's post made it clear he realized he wanted it in scale with the custom prime, and then you tried to correct him, and then he pointed out that there was nothing to correct, and you say "yes". lol

Ah, it happens to the best of us. At least I keep telling myself that. :lol

We're probably all still just spinning around from the awesomeness of encline's last custom Prime :lol
