    Hey all,

I am looking to finally pick up one of my favorite movie heroes in toy form, but not sure which one to get.

12" Indian Jones figures are available from a few different companies at varying price scales, but the question is: Is one better, or more worth the money for the difference?

The first one is the one that I pre-ordered:

    89.99 from BBTS

    Sideshow Indy

    Sideshow page of 12" Indy

This is the other one. The BBTS price is 139.99 and is Made by Real Action Heroes, but distributed by SideShow:

    Real Action Heros Indy

Sideshow page for the RAH Indy

I don't know too much about the RAH, but it is apparently one of the best 12" manufactures around. But the first one looks like it comes with more stuff...hmmm

    Any thoughts?

Anyone have a RAH figure and thinks it is the greatest thing ever? I need to figure out if it worth the extra 40 bucks…

I have a 12" Metal Gear Solid 3 Solid Snake figure from RAH. They do great work. And, $140 for a RAH figure is a pretty decent price.

The sideshow one looks better, both companies do a good job. Sideshow is cheaper because is located in the states. I believe they even created a new body for the figure. Rah quality has been dropping of late though. But either way both will be good. the sideshow one looks to have a better hat though. I'm getting the Henry jones one from RAH and the sideshow indy.

I'm probably going to try for the Sideshow Indy, myself. I think the RAH prototype is slightly goofy-looking when the hat is on, and I dig all the cool accessories that you get with Sideshow.

But honestly, how could you go wrong with either one?

The sideshow version looks better IMO.

I like both companies, but Sideshow's body is a lot sturdier and Medicom tends to get a little cheap when it comes to the paint applications. And when it comes down to it, you can't beat the quality of Sideshow's soft goods and the accessories they shower you with.

I've got the Indy preordered, and I'm crossing my fingers that they'll announce a Henry Sr. later down the road.

You get what you pay for, the RAH will probably be a little better.

I serious won't know which to choose but I'm impressed by the Medicom stuff I own such as MGS3 Snake and Ultraman the First!

apparently there IS time for love, doctor jones :lol

the 1st one looks decent enough, but im aware the reputation that RAH has, that they can create some really natural looking poses thanks to type of joints used.

I've got a RAH MGS3 Big Boss figure, and it does pose really naturally and looks great. It's also at least a head shorter than all of my other 12" figures, and for what it's worth, I have the SS Indy on order vs. the Medicom. The Medicom figure just doesn't look like it's going to have any advantages over the SS version that'll be worth a $40 difference. Plus, with two heads, if you buy a second body with a suit, you can make a "Professor Jones" with your Sideshow version.

Yeah, I think that Sideshow one will feed my need for this toy. The head sculpt looks great with the shadow, the cloths look genuine and the accessories really top it off.

The RAH also looks great, but as someone else said, looks a little off with the hat. I'm sure that there will be some accessories, but they don't list anything...
The jacket does look better though...not 40 dollars better, but still better...

    :lol

    Thanks for the info guys!
