It's still cheaper than they'll be in the UK. Until they hit over $20 each, I don't see why you're complaining.

    That sucks. :(

But... unless you're in Canada, I think Cybertron basics have always been $6.99... in which case, those got a price jack-up too.

The only place I've seen Classics for over $9.99 is K-mart for $10.99, so yeah, it's pry just your store.

TRU has always charged more than other shops.
I'm fairly sure Hasbros MSRP went up for this line as well so it doesn't surprise me if you find more 11, 12, and 13 dollar prices.

I seem to recall Target's computer pricing as being about $13 as well.

Hasbro's MSRP didnt' go up, but some retailers (TRU and Target) seem to feel that they are able to charge more for these figures, I recall Target where I lived had GI Joe Sigma Six Soldiers for $12 ($2 more than Walmart)

TRU has lots of sales though, so it all evens out in the end. Usually if you're willing to wait a bit you can find almost anything for a lower price, unless it's a late-line entry or something merely shortpacked all to hell(such as RiD Stormjet/Armada NemesisPrime/Energon Ultra Magnus)

Its a shame that the last major retail toystore on Earth is also one of the worst places to buy the item they specialize in. Even worse is the POS that is KB but I dont consider them a major player anymore.

I understand why Walmart and Target are able to offer better prices, and some of those reasons are very unfortunate, but its just sad when toy stores are the worst places to buy toys.

Yep, the TRU stores in NC have raised the prices. Target is the way to go.

I went to TRU last week and noticed the prices said $12.99 around here. Luckily I got my classic Starscream when it was $10.99 ($1 isn't bad, but every little bit I can save means more TFs in the long run)

I can't say they are justified in charging more, but if a couple more dollars bothers you, then I would call around first. Considering the price of gas and the hassle of going somewhere else, I would just get them at TRU if I was there and they were only a couple dollars more then other places. Anyways, they are generally $10.99 around here, including my TRU.

Yeah, I was at my local TRU in Brandon Fl, on Saturday and noticed that they had jacked the prices of the Classic Deluxes from $10.99 to $12.99... it's not like it's a big deal, but for me it's more or less the principle of the matter... if you think about it. When you can get them for two dollars cheaper over at Wal-Mart or Target (where they're $9.99) or at K-Mart (where they're $10.99). I'm not likely to go to TRU for my Classic Deluxes. It's the kind of price gouging I'm accustomed to from KB Toys and I don't shop with them for TFs either unless they have exclusives or sales.

I more than likely won't give TRU my business for Classics unless they have something first, but I'm likely to get it from Target first sense I work there and all. It's good to be a stocker...

I got mine for that price from Fry's... I was willing to pay a little more since they got theirs much earlier than Target/Wal*Mart/TRU...

Wow, I saw Classics a couple weeks ago for $10.99 at a TRU, but Cybertron was $9.99. I wonder why?

    1. Different toylines often command diff. prices
    2. The demand for Classics has been greater

Simple as that! And, yeah, TRU's here = $12.99. Screw dat!

Probably because Classics are selling pretty damned well and they thought it was worth it to raise the prices on the suckers...

Hey, if they're selling well, then why not raise prices???

    Welp.

Unless there's a sale, I'm not wasting my time with Classics at TRU. $2 is absorbitant.

Basics in Canada are regular $10.
