Rant as much as you want, but for me i am happy that he's back if thats the case

While we still have the same director, lets see how this one does, because we are getting new writters for this one, now that Ehren Kruger (who wrote 2, 3 and 4) is out. who knows there could be a chance of a better movie in terms of quality for most people

He's never leaving. At least not until they cease to become profitable.

Say what you will, but it is really, really unusual for an A-list director to stay with an A-list franchise for this long. I can't think of a single other franchise movie series that has had the same director for five films in a row.

hey, it's a good gig: shoot a bunch of non-naratively-sensical action scenes filled with beautiful people, beautiful cars and beautiful explosions, make $1B (plus i think i remember hearing he directs these on the cheap but takes a cut on the backend)

if we could just get a script with a story that makes some sense (it doesn't even need to be "good", just serviceable ala TF1) and an editor that can keep things straight, they could make a solid movie.

(For the record, i'm not a hater, i like TF1 and thought 3 was "ok" but 4 was just absolute nonsense, and worse boring! ...took me 3 tries to get through it...

    ...and the toyline sucked...)

    MUTHA-F*CKER!!!! :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

    I love this spin. :lol

Could also be that his independent projects have failed to bank as much box office $$$? :rolleyes2  Have you seen Pain & Gain? :lol  I mean, this is a guy who, before TFs, was known for "Bad Boys 2".

    Anyone remember Pearl Harbor? :lol

"Why does Michael Bay get to keep on makin' movies? I guess Pearl Harbor sucked... just a little bit more than I miss you!" :D

Potentially yet another "old Cybertronian thing that was on Earth all this time, somehow undiscovered" plot device? Come along now, writers room.

Translation: "I'll be directing them forever, motherfuckers!" :bay

I'm not surprised by this development, nor will I believe any mention of them "improving" things with number 5. In my eyes, Bay still doesn't understand the full true potential of this franchise and all of his attempts to do so have fallen flat. Sometimes there's a glimpse of him getting close, but it quickly fizzles.

For those who truly love his movies and his interpretation of the Transformers universe, I'm glad that you'll have another entry to enjoy. :)

Hey, Bay's back. And he's still claiming he's leaving the franchise after the next movie. Haha, good old Bay.

Yes they are bad films but do bad films make billion at box office people should stop nit picking every little thing movie tv shows music and learn accept things what they are ENTERTAINMENT that's what tv shows and movies are made for is transformers generation one perfect? Transformers animated movie perfect? If you kid who saw animated transformers did you nit pick every little detail to sound like NON PAID movie critic or did you do what everyone use to do back then before year two thousand enjoy movie for entertainment pourpose like it for what it is

Say what you want about the guy if not for him we would not be getting sequels of transformers and we as fans would not have experienced good time for transformers hitting billion twice at box office that is victory and they became more popular with kids after first movie was done there have been one other comic book movie that had hit 15,0000 billion that is Star Wars force awakens us transformer fans can be victorious both transformer movies had hit billion which is no easy task.

If this is true glad he is returning but until I hear it from him personally I don't believe it yet
