    Soap Studios don't make soap.

They are actually more known for their gadgets. For example they have a very nice remote control system to substitute batteries in your figures so they run from a power source instead. I use their system for my Kidslogic and Herocross figures so I can turn them on and off at a whim without having to worry about the damage or drain of batteries.

Interesting that they are pushing into the already competitive Hong Kong collectable toy market but I'm not complaining. Especially if it means I can add another Optimus Prime to my collection. ;)

Really curious about their pricing and what their distribution channels outside of the Toy Soul Expo will be.

Are they planning on selling these? I don't see the point. There have been several figures of Optimus as a non-transforming robot in various degrees of cartoon accuracy. Does anyone really want another?

And that Spike is just wretched.

That would actually be my main complaint for this: lack of articulation.

I still think a high-quality, articulated, die-cast line of non-transforming G1 figures priced around $25 would go VERY well here. Basically the SRC alternative to the Soul of Chogokin, or Masterpiece in this instance, line.

Spike needs a bigger head. I'm not satisfied that it's only as large as his torso. I want it so big that it requires multiple stands just to keep the figure upright. THIS IS WHAT FANS ARE CLAMORING FOR!

Interesting, but where's Chip Chase? Also there are some weird proportions here. Spike's head and Bumblebee's feet are pretty big.

The cartoon-accurate bots sculpts are OK, and the faces/heads are nice, but are they articulated at all or are they simply statues? They appear small; how big are they, & how much will they be? I'd need more pics & info. before considering them. They're most likely an expensive limited-run exclusive, so never-mind.

Spike looks like Samwise Gamgee. XD

If you make a Carly please do not let that sculptor work on her...

I have a feeling these will be toon accurate statues of characters that all have Masterpiece versions already.
And they'll probably be about the same price.

The non-transforming aspect doesn't bother me, as my toys rarely if ever see alt-mode. The lack of articulation however is a deal-breaker.

    Giant revoltech-esque action figures? YES

    Toony plastic statues? NO
