I really want to see which mold they use. They don't have a lot of options to choose from, so the alt mode is going to be inaccurate to the BW design either way.

Seeing as their goal with these are the show designs not the toys, an accurate alt mode isn't a priority.

What bothers me is that none of the 4 voyager molds are going to look like a booger erupting from a clam in robot mode.

I'm not getting this set mainly because I don't have the other BW DOFP figures but I think out of all the torso molds available, Scattorshot's alt mode is the only one passable as a sea vessel.

Well that was...huh. I legit thought they'd use the original Hot Spot mold just because it only had one formal use.

I'm hoping for Scattershot over Silverbolt, as that could be seen as some kind of aquatic vehicle.

Kudos to the people who looked at Silverbolt/Scattorshot and saw potential for a submarine. Will be interesting to see if Funpub has any other mods or fan-mode tweaks to bring him closer to something that references a lobster.

Well, this seems interesting. If they do use the Scattorshot version of the mold, it could work well as a submarine like T-Hybrid said, so kudos to the FunPub team!

I'm not going to take credit for the submarine. I need to go find that post from the Beast Wars thread.

That's surprising to me more because it's going to be so similar to the existing releases. Silverbolt is a white, red, and orange jet. Scattershot is a red, white, and maroon jet. Now it's being redone as a red, white, and black jet?

Kinda hard to be excited over that.

Oh. But, it is an interesting take on the alt mode if the Scattorshot version is used.

    So, random thought:

Ramhorn looks to be Brawl turned backwards with an added drill attachment. What if Seaclamp is Scattorshot turned backwards with a few tooling changes?

Look at the image I've attached, his wings appear to be molded apart from other aspects of the figure. If you replace them, and perhaps tweak the tail fin of the jet...you could have something that resembles a submarine.

I've posted an image from Phantom Menace. Note the similar shape with the triangular ship and "tail" trailing off the back.

Heck, even removing the tailfin of Scattorshot's jet mode could pull it off. As long as the paint apps get the message across that he faces "backwards" now.

Knowing FunPub, they used Silverbolt. Sea Clamp is a water jet.
