Not sure what the line will be called so pardon the place holder. The renders were done by Josh Nizzi who has worked on a lot of movies such as Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, and has even done a lot of concept art for characters in the Bayformers.

Looks to be Prime 1's own artist rendition of Optimus and Megatron. A blend of G1 and the more mechanical detailed aesthetics from the Bay movies.

Really digging the art direction. Wish the movies followed a design closer to these.

They look impressive all right. :)  If there's going to be a true reboot sometime in the future they should take notes from these. They evoke G1 but still manage to make it their own thing. I'm especially loving Megatron's tank threads as a cape too. That's such a creative touch.

I concur. If the movie designs were like this I'd have liked them far more. I love Megatron's treads look like a cape, very cool design choice.

This is what the Bayformers designs should've been.

Instead, we got junky, busy designs with ridiculous anatomy and gross faces you can barely tell apart.

holy fuck, reboot with these designs please. i love rotf optimus but this design beats the snot out of it.

megatron is a little hunchbacked for my taste but they nailed the fusion cannon.

    Wow; these designs are FANTASTIC.

The cape on Megatron is one of those ideas that makes me go "WHY HAS NOBODY THOUGHT OF THIS BEFORE"

I have no idea if that cape could translate as a toy design at all, though.

Those designs look very "Transformers Universe" to me. They're nice, but I'm only really interested because Josh Nizzi is on this.

That said, I very much like the idea of tank treads as a cape for Megatron.

These are great. I wish somebody besides Prime 1 was doing them.

I'd probably pay a couple hundred dollars for nice high end toys of these. I will not however pay the couple thousand per figure these will cost.

I do look forward to watching them progress.

To correct the misconceptions in this thread. Josh Nizzi got his start on Transformers (he initially designed RotF Long Haul as fan art, as I recall, which got the attention of Paramount and got him brought on to design for them full time). He's since gone on to do work for Marvel Studios, and good for him :)

I do like his concepts, though. Very much an IDW / Movie series cross.

Eh, the current Movie designs are fine for the movies that they're in.

Now, if we got a reboot? Hell yeah, I'd want the TFs to look like this.

These look absolutely beautiful! They are wonderful designs and I can't wait to see what other characters they'll do next.

But are they still going to do on screen characters? I wanted to see Ratchet and Barricade pop up.

Those designs look pretty amazing, especially Megatron's tread cape.

Is it just me, or does AoE Optimus Prime's legs resemble this ones' legs.

As a full time Micheal bay hater, those designs are legit. Go Nizzi. But if Bay is involved in sure he'll ignore these.

Josh Nizzi's art was always fantatsic. Even as someone who dislikes the Bay-movies I enjoyed looking at Nizzi's work.

And these designs are much better than the crap which was used since the first movie, they look more traditionally yet full of unique and fresh ideas.
That's really how they should've done it.

But the Bay-movies are bad anyways, so maybe it's for the better that these designs aren't wasted for them. Would love to see something like this in future movies without Bay or the writers who always write the same crap.

Almost none of the designs' details can without a bunch of cheating and hidden vehicle exteriors. Same with regular old Bayformers, TF Universe, and Prime designs.

That bothers me about most modern Transformers. These designs look good, golden when compared to Bay's shreddy things, but they fail at their basic task of being transformers. Animated had lots of cheating in its toyline as well, but the character designs were at least designed with a set transformation in mind. These require flexible metal panels coming from nowhere and crawling into place like a couple dozen metal roaches.

It's like TFP-styled G1-meets-Movieverse. I like it. The movie designs can be a bit over-the-top too often. I also dig how Megatron's apparent tank treads turn into a tattered cloak.
