Didn't see this, so thought I would share. VIP pack to meet both is $300.

Would love to get their autographs, but not for $300.

Maybe I can trade my autograph for theirs?:lol

Frank Welker is an awesome get though, as he normally doesn't do too many conventions. I'd love to get the SDCC MP Soundwave with the 5 cassettes signed by him!

San Antonio, eh? I'm sorely tempted since I'm right there. Would be hella sweet if I could get Mr. Cullen to autograph my MISB Hasbro Asia MP-10 Optimus Prime and Mr. Welker an Apollyon box (hopefully X-TB releases Apollyon way before August). $600 is pretty pricey though as I'd like the missus to tag along as well.

I could totally do it, but not for $200 a pop. I may hang around the hotel bar though and see what happens.

For me it will be something to look forward too. I will do the $300 thing for one day but not for 2. I had a very rough start of the year. Heck I will draw something to be autograph....hmmm.

Holy Crap Frank Welker? He never usually does cons.

How they were able to get him is a miracle. Now if only BotCon was able to nab him just once.

I'd say the money is worth it because this is a once in a lifetime thing.

I hope someone uploads their convention panels on Youtube.

I went to this last year, and this convention is really really poorly organized. Everything from the ticket pick up, to the communication of where VIP things were taking place, to the overcrowding of the venue, all of it, was very poorly managed.

The redeeming part of it all was actually getting to have some genuine albeit brief exchanges with some of my childhood heroes.

It might have been a great experience if the convention was managed significantly better. I hope more than just the location of the venue has changed.

It was amazing to me last year that they got Peter Cullen. Even more amazing that they got him back this year, and astounding now that Welker is coming too.

I'm going to put this in my bucket list. I want my TT Soundwave signed by Welker & the TT Optimus Prime I have on pre-order by Cullen.

Would be a cool excuse to visit Texas.
Side note, whats the most culturally tasteful way to get a figure signed. Do you get the box signed or the underside of the figures food ( Woody from Toy Story style )
Any recommendations on pens? Silver, Black? Blue?
I know its always personal preference but there must be a culture to this.
    Thanks guys.

Have to agree this is a poorly run con, not our best one, can't believe the price, Stan Lee and William Shatner don't charge that much for a pic, autograph and vip package.

I, too, have heard that Frank Welker doesn't do conventions. Those Texans are lucky. :)

I got Welker's autograph at the Beast Hunters premiere in Los Angeles, and he is just one of the nicest, happiest-to-see-a-fan celebs I have ever met, and I have met a lot of them working in entertainment in LA. If you can swing the cost, don't pass up the opportunity to meet the man. He's awesome.

Cullen's also awesome, but meeting Welker in person is like seeing Bigfoot.
