It's a neat concept but it seems like it would take a level of engineering that just isn't possible yet to pull it off accurately.

while an interesting idea, it's just not something I can imagine hasbro spending the money to do. maybe a thirdparty group would latch on, though that means that they'd all cost $pain.

Like others, I can't see Hasbro putting the money into these at present time. However, now the concept is out there, if enough people like it, it's possible a 3P might steal the idea, and make some toys based on it.

Awesome concept (and execution looks spot on), but my issue is finding a customer base: I'm not convinced Bayverse fans are G1 fans, and vice versa. So who do these toys appeal to, exactly? The casuals? The indifferent?

I think we should apply this idea to make triple-formers... which is a better concept. This is BB and Optimus changing costumes, and I feel it's an ultimately wasted effort because people display their toys in one mode (not two) - here, when you display the toy, you're kind of wasting 2 modes instead.

If this was simplified for kids, I can see a winner. But for adults or older teens? I'm not so sure...

EDIT: I'm reminded of the transforming TMNT toys from the 90s. Those were neat. I think if BB transformed into a ninja-costume BB or something, might be kind of cooler (for gimmick's sake), but changing between eras? I'm not feeling it. :/

This is a great concept, I love the idea, however instead of switching bot modes between G1 and bayformers I would rather see the alt modes switching between Earth and Cybertron with the Bot mode mod remaining unchanged.

Not a bad attempt but it feels like you are going to be left with multiple modes that sacrifice to much. The cost of making versions that pull it off would probably be to high.

This just reminds me that we really, really, need a new-mold Punch/Counterpunch.

An interesting theory.. I can see a lot of potential.. and a lot of broken parts in the future. It would give each toy a lot more playability and display options, something the line could use.

Thanks for posting these Sol Fury. As and Inventor I try to come up with concepts that have never been done before. That can be a little tricky with a 30 year old property. I'm a huge fan of Transformers so I hope everyone enjoys my work.

    Super cool idea!
Well, it's a kitbash concept. Idealy any sort of production figure would be more refined and cleaner.
