So two years ago I sold off a load of my collection before moving here to Bolivia and I left some in storage at my parents' house. Now thanks to steady purchasing and bringing stuff back from the UK whenever I go to visit, my collection here now stands at 101 Transformers, a nice little milestone.

For those who are curious, the 101st was Generations Warpath, a genius little toy :D

Perhaps because Transformers aren't as easily obtained in Bolivia as they are in the U.S?

No, 'miscreant' had the message directed at -him- when -he- made a thread about his 1700th figure. He wasn't directing it at doom's 101st.

    Grats, by the way.

Congrats! I'm nearing my 200th figure myself.

Also, Warpath is a nice little gem to have as that milestone.

Maybe doomboy536 will take a moment to recant his experiences with the Bolivian postal system.

    Oh I would love to.

When my wife applied to university in the UK in September 2004 to start in September 2005, her letter took several months to get there. When I went to visit her here in Bolivia (I was living in the UK at the time) in August of 2006 a letter arrived for her from the university, dating from January of 2005 thanking her for her application and asking her to send back her choice of accomodation - by which time she'd already been at university a whole year!

Our entire city has one post office and it is basically disused. People here don't write letters to each other, and when they need to send a parcel or item to anyone they have it privately couriered. This is a developing country, it's not as simple as:

Congrats on the milestone dude! I think I'm a good bit off that number, but I'm sure I'll get there eventually.

And Warpath looks like an awesome figure to get there with. I have to ask though, what was your 100th?

Having the internet and having means of buying things through the internet are two completely different things. I have the internet, but it's very rare I can actually buy over the internet because I don't have a PayPal account or credit card of my own.

Shipping costs to Central & South America aint' cheap at all!! Whenever my mother needs to UPS important documents in 2-3 business days, it will cost way over $100 to ship in that amount of time. I can understand the pain of shipping cost in Latin America.

DOTM Deluxe Starscream. Not quite as cool but still a great toy.

    :lolol

Thankyou! Glad to see that someone else out there understands the hassle and costs that you deal with when you ship around these parts.

Wait, so it being hard for me to get Transformers = my life sucks? :lolol
