Some of us were saying that after we left the theater a few weeks ago.

 

I didn't say it after the movie, but I was thinking of how good it would of been to have had Carly instead of Mikela.

 

Some of my friends who came with me to see it were all in agreement that Rosie should have been in the other two. Oh well... I thought she did a pretty good acting job.

 

Yep, she did. Considering it was her first acting job and all, she did a damn good job.

- Midget scene in ROTF, seriously, this was the worst scene of the trilogy
- Awkward humor scenes throughout the trilogy
- Overpowered humans
- Total waste of villains
- The fallen being Megatron's master
- Really weird timeline.
- Prime dying in ROTF, then being resurrected an hour later
- Throwaway characters that never helped the movie moves forward.
- Col. Sharp dying in the blackout soccent attack, then being resurrected as General Morshower, it seriously pulled me off everytime I saw him onscreen

 

Bumblebee did not die (it deserves to be said again).

 

... Really Carly (Rosies) so called "acting skills" really guys. Not sure about you guys but i saw more acting out of inanimate objects in that movie than Rosie.

As opposed to known drama queen Megan? The only reason people are so butt hurt about Megan not being in this one was solely because of her looks. Neither chic was the main reason I went to see this series of movies. Megan is an attractive lady and so isn't Rosie. Say Reese Witherspoon or Drew Barrymore were offered and took the job. People would still be complaining because it wasn't Megan and the other's were not as pretty. Here's a thought, Megan's acting abilities were on par with Rosie's for this series of movies and my opinion as I see from this vantage point.

I am so tired of hearing people complain because Megan was not in this one. Can anyone look at the bigger picture for once and honestly say to themselves what this trilogy was about?

To put a different spin on what actors/actresses were or should have been in it. Say I decided to complain because Kevin Dunn "Ron Witwicky" didn't have had a role similar of the involvement in this trilogy to that of Sparkplug in G1. But do you see me having a sulking attitude to the point of not wanting to see this movie or despising it because he didn't? Nope!

My point is this, what were these movies really all about?

 

Lack of Decepticon character development.
Lack of Decepticon power.
Lack of Decepticon characters in DOTM.
A Optimus Prime that more blood thirst than any Con.
Megatron DOTM.
Devastator's design.
Soundwave being the first Soundwave (other than in BW) that does not look G1.
Soundwaves lack of activity in ROTF.
Overpowered Humans in ROTF.
Barricads absents in ROTF.
Soundwave only having one fight scene.
The dreads only having onefight scene.
The dreads not comming off as BadAss compatent assasians.
Lack of character development in ROTF.
People complaining about the humor in ROTF.
Megatrons lack of authority in ROTF.
Jetfires age.
Starscreams lack of scheming.

 

staged good guys hero moments : Scenes in which it is SUPER obvious from the very first shot that the hero character - be it human or autobot - is going to prevail, for the sake of his 'heroic moment' and artificially writing the hero to survive even against very unlikely odds.

Result is a very predictable outcome without any real tension arc at all. They use cheap plot devices to 'explain' it, but they're just non credible like a thief's excuse/reason to steal.

DOTM was the WORST offender in this regard imo.

 

That's was true by the way. And it's what bothers me most about the movie.

2. Leadfoots robot form
3. Sam's mom and dad

 

1. Lack of robot fighting scenes
2. Bad characters ( the twins and the arcee gang)
3. Easy death scenes
4. Ironhide and jazz's death
5. The fact that devastator was killed off easily (come on he's a frigging huge robot )
6. Lack of robot screen time

 

Competition with Harry Pothead  

 

Instead of the skids and mudflap they should have had sunstreek and sideswipe as our twins..the arcee gang was just a damn waste of space..they should of had another autobot
Fill in their space for ROTF like cliffjumper..jolt should have stayed in for DOTM since he only had like 3 minutes of screen time..The deaths of megatron,starscream and shockwave were absolutely terrible..shockwave could have done a little more..megatron should have put up good fight then die..starscream should have been killed by the wreckers instead..makes it more epic..like for example..roadbuster justs uses his chainsaw mechtech weapon and slices of starscreams saw off then topspin could spray bullets at him then starscream falls to the ground from receiving heavy damage then to make it more interesting since John DiMaggio voices Marcus fenix in the gears of war franchise and leadfoot for DOTM leadfoot could then walk up to the downed starscream and say " eat boot ! " and curb stomps him.

 

1. Mojo dominating Frankie scene in ROTF, totally unnecessary from the foul minded producers and director. Who trains these dogs anyway??? Sheesh...

2. Barricade missing in action after the highway scene, only to reappear in the third movie.. What the heck? What a huge plothole.

3. Brawl introduced with the name Devastator on screen in the first movie. Another "what the heck" moment....

4. Devastator being killed off easily in ROTF. What a waste of CGI and a disappointment to a massive Decepticon. It would have been really awesome to see OP go head to head with him....

5. Autobot heaven. Really???? Really????

6. Jolt wasn't in DOTM!!!!

7. Ironhide and Starscream's death. Cld have been handled better than how it was in DOTM... Is that the best the writers could come up with for how both these bots die?

8. Megatron's quick death in DOTM... After all the previous movies, he dies within seconds of going up against OP in DOTM.. Yeah, he was caught by surprise, but he's the mighty evil Megatron for god sakes!!!

Thats it. All in all, I really love this live action movie franchise for the spectacular visual effects as well as efforts by the producers to make it appear believable in the real world thanks to the combination of the military.. This Michael Bay Transformers movie trilogy will always be remembered as a great movie spectacle!
