    In UK a standard Deluxe is £15 = $23

$100 for the set is fine.

$100 for five deluxes that combine scramble-city style with an exclusive deco is actually about exactly what I would expect.

No that is not what happened in the slightest. Combiners are a hard sell. They're releasing it in brighter colors to appeal to children more. Hell, I want the retail version too. The color scheme is an homage to Energon Bruticus Maximus. lol

They've started selling limited convention exclusives at mass retail chains? I missed that memo.

Also, $100 bucks is actually LESS than some TF figures at retail in the last couple years, such as Supreme Devastator and Ultimate Optimus Prime.

I'd have an easier time pulling the trigger on this set if I knew how big the combined mode was.

100 bucks is a very decent price. what, for 5 12-15 dollar deluxe's *depending on where you find them* and a kick ass display piece box? that's around 75 bucks for the toys themselves, and around 25 bucks for the box. sounds pretty reasonable. ill be picking one up for sure. besides, another factor to consider is this will be a way to get the bruticus toy a month to a couple of months early. :)

Haha, now I'm really not going to get it. Toys I was on the fence about in the first place + exclusive + $100 (and possibly shipping) = no go.

I'm not surprised at all, it's what I expected in fact. Idk if I'll be able to afford it at that time though.

Darn it. Oh well I could wait for the price to go down a bit then again it's not like it costs around $230 at least.

That $100 price isn't terrible IF you can get it from the convention or the online traffic jam that Hasbrotoysop becomes when they put their SDCC exclusives online. I won't be in San Diego, and I haven't had luck completing checkout for the exclusives on HTS the last two years. So if I want it, the price will probably be more like $175-$200. That's not cool.

Then a year later a bunch of them will start appearing out of nowhere at hack closeout stores like Tuesday Morning for 20 bucks and get scalped all over again.

There goes my hopes of getting one. $60 - $80 was gonna be high for me, but manageable. This is just a little too much for my budget, oh well Ill just get MP prime instead. (yeah I know he'll be $100, but HES a Masterpiece figure, totally worth it)

5 deluxe figures at canadian retail after taxes would be close to $100. Good price for an exclusive deco.

Worth the price, IMO. Looks like an awesome toy, plus it's in game-accurate colors and in a gift set; what more could you want?
Aside from the retail version having accurate colors, of course...

I agree. The average cost I've been seeing for deluxes is $15, so retail would end up being $75 anyways.
